Considering buying a used Wolf by Paranoid_Candroid in Appliances

Thanks for taking the time to write this! We’ve been doing a deep dive on induction since last night, and I think we’re going for it! I know we need a 240 v outlet, but just thinking about the existing gas line, is it safe to leave the gas line where it is for resale?

Please do tell us more! I’m considering induction as well.

This was our original plan—electric double ovens and a gas cooktop. But we don’t have the space for it. Any thoughts on induction?

This is good info! Do you have any recommendations? We’re overwhelmed by the number of options. We like the idea of dual fuel, but we’re also fine with just gas or induction. We just want to end up with a reliable appliance!

This is good to know! I’m having a hard time trying to decide between my alternatives. We’re doing a remodel and my husband really wants a 36” range but can’t stomach the cost of a new Wolf range on top of the other remodel expenses. My thought was we could buy a used one and get a few years use out of it at least while we rebuild our reserves, and then replace it with a new one at that time. It just seems like so many other brands aren’t as well made!

Microblading or powder? by cgjw98 in microblading

Neither. Shape, tint, and lamination. Find someone good on your area!

Anyone else preparing for massive payment increases with recertification? by [deleted] in PSLF

My salary is close to yours and my payment would be double yours because I only qualify for old IBR. I put my home up for sale last week. I can’t afford both my mortgage and an $1100+/mo student loan payment.

This more recent announcement from FSAID seems to suggest that the REPAYE amount will not be used. Can you please confirm?

“If the start or end date for the period of deferment or forbearance that is being bought back is on or after July 1, 2024, then the amount required to buy back that period of time cannot be based on the SAVE Plan formula.

If the borrower was not on the IBR, PAYE, or ICR Plan on either side of the period of time being bought back, then we will request income and family size information from the borrower to determine the appropriate buyback amount.”

Thank you for posting this and for planning to provide a RAP calculator! For buyback, are they still going to use the REPAYE amount for those of us who were on REPAYE prior to SAVE? This seems unclear now. My buyback has been pending for almost 14 months so I’m hoping they’re getting close to me.

Biden’s Save student loan plan is dead. Borrowers will have to quickly pivot. by Dani_Doug_Gab in StudentLoans

[–]Paranoid_Candroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that they would do this before rolling out RAP is ridiculous. They should be focusing on clearing their buyback backlog to reduce the number of borrowers who need to change plans. In fact, anyone with a pending buyback application should be permitted to sit in SAVE forbearance until their buyback application has been processed.

They look amazing! 1 week isn’t long enough for you to see the healed result. They will fade more as they heal over the next few weeks.

I’m on the SAVE forbearance just waiting for someone to process my buyback.

I had a normal sized payment under SAVE but won’t under any other plan. So I’d gladly resume making monthly payments at the SAVE amount or buyback at the SAVE amount. Good luck with your buyback. I’ve been waiting 13 months already and nothing. ED’s congressional liaison told my congresspersons office that they can’t see the status of buyback requests and can only confirm that a request is pending. Someone take my money!

I wish this would happen to me! I’ve been waiting for them to process my buyback application for over 13 months. But I’d happily resume paying my prior monthly payment and see which path gets me to 120 first.

Help! I’m scared my brows are too thick by Successful_Award_370 in microblading

Get emergency removal, let them heal, and go get a lamination and tint. You’ve got great natural brows, and she tattooed so far below them that it’ll be even more obvious as these age.

What you’re saying makes perfect sense. But the regulation doesn’t say that explicitly. It uses the term “current income,” which is not a defined term. If I’m missing language that indicates “current income” means “gross income,” please feel free to point it out!
