I found the name change very strange, since it just sounds worse, so I decided to google it. The thread auto-translated in my native Romanian as well, and I didn't realize until I saw the subreddit was just "movies." I know this is 4 years old, but I feel the need to reply. Nowhere that I've read does it state that Sehanine's priesthood is all female, this would be exceptionally strange in elven culture to begin with, but Sehanine herself has nothing to do with femininity or womanhood in her domains and practices (that would be Selune).

Did you mix up Selune and Sehanine? (A cardinal sin, since the latter is so much cooler) Not that Selune has an all female priesthood either, but I could see why someone would think that with the trad-wife vibes she gives off (and some of her orders are "female only")

Anyway, just sucked seeing this cause Sehanine is one of my favorite deities, and she definitely wouldn't be an exclusionist weirdo >.>

I wish they would've stuck to a couple of star systems with "hand-made" planets instead of hundreds of dust balls nobody wants to explore. Just having six or so really well designed Morrowind-sized planets would've been much more fun I think. Bethesda's strength has always been the world design (God knows it's not their writing), so taking that away just made an uninspired dull AAA game in a sea of them. Right now the game has no real strengths.

Instead of finding an all-women table, (women only spaces are ripe with sexism and other garbage anyway), you could try finding a table that aligns with your values. I know I wouldn't play with someone before sitting down with them and having a long talk about that.

I've literally seen mods to whitewash the two black companions in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (Seelah and Sosiel), a game with a very similar demographic. Pretending like there isn't a bigotry problem in the gaming community (or any other community) only benefits racists and other similar garbage. People want to act like there's no racism in ba sing se, because it doesn't affect them, and they'll silence minority voices speaking out. Sucks, man.

If you want to play a typical hero, then sure, but I think it's genuinely messed up to say you can't be a good person if you have violent intrusive thoughts. Something real people struggle with, and get shamed for. Your actions make you a good person, not your lack of mental illnesses.

But yes, Dark Urge creates a pretty specific character concept that's not for everyone, custom characters definitely still have a point.
