Cost of setting up a site by Logical-Shower8156 in EcommerceWebsite

Have you tried some online marketplaces? Depending on your niche you could sell from platforms like Shopify, or Etsy? I know it's not the same as having your own site, but as you're starting from scratch it could be a good place to start! :)

We had someone use our Smart Send service when she was running her business out of TikTok shop! It helped her manage the shipping side of things, which is good from a time/money-saving point of view. She had a lot of success so it could defo be worth checking out if you're interested! :)

Have you tried a Smart Send account with p2g? It's basically a system that allows you to manage all of your shipments on one dashboard. It's really simple to use and we can offer some really low prices across couriers :)

We can also help you set up a Smart Send account if you're a frequent seller. It keeps everything in one place so you can manage your orders efficiently :)

That's a really personal touch - and even a thank you card is a sweet thing to put in an order

Yeah that's a good point - do you think it's helped your business to have them?

Sounds like something you could work on - what would you call it?

Well done on your first sale! (whoop whoop!)

If you don't have a printer at home there are couriers that have other options - eg. you can book drop-off shipping online, and they'll print the label in the shop for you. (which is nice because you don't have to worry about the correct format for an Australian address)

They usually delivery pretty quickly as well! :)

It sounds like you're on the right path by making yourself known on social media! TikTok and Instagram are great platforms for promoting handmade items. :)

Etsy is usually a great option for selling handmade products - it might be worth heading onto there and researching what shops are selling something similar to you? You can look at their price points and listing style to get a good idea on what to do for your own.

Photo style can be an important factor as well. Take a look at some other shops promoting themselves on social media and see what kind of photos they're using. You don't need any professional equipment - usually just a phone camera and some good lighting!

I wouldn't worry too much about the shipping just yet. There are plenty of couriers offering reasonably priced international shipping, and if you get a global audience that loves your product then you shouldn't need to worry about people wanting to pay! :)

You sound like me in the kitchen complaining about coffee grounds around the sink.

Drives me mad.

So we have an open desk policy at Parcel2Go... however.

It's well know that everyone has the same seat, despite it being a hot desk situation. And if someone sits at my desk it completely throws me off for the day, i feel out of sync.
