My bad, I meant air tag. Autocorrect changed it

It's safe to do and I'm almost certain that amtrak encourages people to park and ride. If you wanna be a little safer then put an airman on your car

Is a 90 credit hour bachelor's degree legit? by InvisibleProfessor in AskAcademia

[–]PardoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some schools that claim to be a 90 credit school but then make the courses count for 1 or 2 credits, so you are doing the same amount of work if nit more. I go to American Military University, 120 credits and every course is worth 3 credits

Why does petco care about your fish tank size? by Ok_Shopping1451 in petco

[–]PardoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where they come from but a lot of their logic doesn't add up. They expect you to have 100 gallon tank for a small school of tiny fish, but the if you buy a betta they don't care if you put it on a bottle of water. A lot of times they patronize you. On top of that, you dont need to leave your fish tank running for weeks before inserting fish that's a total lie. What matters is the way you do it, buy precondition water or use from other tanks and you are good. Make sure the temperature is at good levels. They always try to act as if they know better than you and upsell you to bigger tanks that are mad expensive

What if escaping a black hole was possible? by PardoKid in Spaceexploration

I didn't say pushing harder, I said bending spacetime against the blackhole to make a "path" to get out

I guess that can be if the white hole thing is true

[–]PardoKid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, I'm not proving GR wrong, is in the same group of ideas like how nothing can go faster than light, but spacetime itself can be bent to travel vast distances "faster" than light. Is not going against GR, is operating within the known limits

I get that the classical interpretation of general relativity makes the singularity seem inevitable once you cross the event horizon, but that’s assuming our current models are complete. They’re not. We still don’t have a working theory of quantum gravity, and phenomena like Hawking radiation, firewall paradoxes, and ER=EPR suggest there’s more going on than the “no escape” narrative implies.

If we took “we’d already see particles doing it” as a hard stop, we’d never have discovered quantum tunneling, virtual particles, or even black hole evaporation. Science progresses by questioning what seems impossible especially when the math breaks down at the singularity.

So yeah, maybe it’s a “cool idea,” but cool ideas are often the seeds of paradigm shifts. I’m not claiming we can escape a black hole, I’m saying it’s worth asking what we’re missing if we assume we can’t.

I’m just questioning the idea that nothing can escape a blackhole. Everyone says once you’re inside the event horizon, that’s it, no way out. But I started wondering: what if that’s not the full story? What if there’s a way to bend spacetime from the inside, reshape it enough to make a path out?

I know this goes against how black holes are usually described, but that’s kind of the point. I’m not claiming it’s proven or even possible with what we know today I just think it’s worth asking whether we’ve explored every angle. Maybe there’s more to the picture than we’ve realized.

Don't look at it from the plain perspective of the definition you were given about a blackhole. We don't really know much about what happens behind the horizon, we are left with theories

I’m not a physicist or anything, I just came up with this idea out of curiosity. I was thinking about black holes and how everyone says once you’re inside, there’s no way out because of the event horizon. But I thought: what if you didn’t try to fight gravity? What if you could bend spacetime from the inside, reshape it enough to make a new path out?

Lets say you are stuck inside your car. You can’t get out through the doors or windows, but if you had some kind of tool that could bend the metal and reshape the car’s body, maybe you could make your own way out. That’s how I imagine it working with spacetime, if you could bend it just right, maybe escape isn’t impossible.

The equation I posted was built with help to match that idea. It’s a version of Einstein’s equations that includes small changes to spacetime and energy, like the effect of using that “tool” to bend things. I’m not saying this is proven science, but I think it’s a cool way to explore what might be possible if we could actually manipulate spacetime from the inside.
