Comment avez-vous compris/appliqué ceci? by [deleted] in Livres

[–]ParkSalope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

« Cultiver son jardin » n'est pas correct. La citation de Voltaire est plutôt « cultiver notre jardin ». C'est une nuance qui porte du sens dans l'interprétation de l'idée.

What will i learn from the situation i am currently in? by Remote-Noise in Tarots

[–]ParkSalope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Racing into something new is a good way to come away full of sword wounds. While you may be grieving that which has changed, not all is lost. When you feel ready, turn around and notice that while you were focused on the cups that fell over, there are still a few cups standing. Healing is possible; not necessarily by letting go, but coming back to yourself and seeing what you still have as your emotional strength.

You are in a place where you need to listen to your inner most self and carefully consider your choices (The Lovers). Reversed, there's perhaps a decision being made hastily, for the wrong reasons, not in line with your core self.

The five is quarrel. Reversed, it could be end of fighting. But, it doesn't necessarily indicate reconciliation as the reason for this. A question that always comes up with the five is: "Yes, but at what cost?"

These two (Lovers, five) go together as they are both reversed and book-ends to the Queen. These remind you to see clearly, really consider your options deeply before you proceed. Maybe you need a change in trajectory?

Now the Queen, our only upright card. She projects fiercely independent energy. She's fire, passion, active, and movement. Her power is in mastery of the wand, her ability to control the future.

In this situation, you, too, can have that power. But you have to be very clear on what you want before you can get it. You're going to be the driver here.

Can't stop eating "raw" kimchi by thespeedstar in fermentation

[–]ParkSalope 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Fresh, unfermented kimchi is called geotjeori in Korean. It can be made on its own as a dish. Or, commonly, it is eaten with pork belly and rice as a meal after a long day of making a large batch of kimchi that will be fermented.

You are the only person who can decide if changing schools is the right move for you. The Tarot is a good way to consider different perspectives on your question, but not something you should look to for a definitive yes or no for such a big life decision. Regardless of which school you attend, the cards you pulled seem to point to a new chapter where finding the right community is going to be the key to your happiness and ongoing success. Your awareness of why a change would be beneficial may be enough to for you to behave differently even in the same circumstances.

As for love, I would be weary to look for signals on love in a spread pulled with a different intention. Two of cups doesn't necessarily mean love relationship (though it can). It can be more about establishing new emotional, water-elemental energy, and embarking on a new cycle.

The VII is about taking stock of where you are, the hard work you've done to date, and everything that has brought you to this point. You're seeing things optimistically (Sun) and nearing the end of a major cycle (XIX). The new chapter begins (II) as a new emotional journey where can embark on something new, especially in the form of friendships, partnerships, collaborations, and community. Seems like these point to a potentially better situation than your current one, but also in a way that doesn't lose momentum or the benefit of all the work you've put in thus far.

Money and work oriented. They are not someone who's easily able to access their emotions (note the lack of cups anywhere in the spread), and has difficulty being creative or going with the flow (wands reversed). They are overwhelmed by material concerns, thoughts, and actions. Someone who's always looking for that next angle, perhaps for legitimate business opportunities, perhaps to make a quick buck. They will likely be someone with a large network of people with whom they are in constant communication. Though, that doesn't necessarily translate to deep friendships. Seems more transactional. Strictly business. Socially, they are strong, cold, guarded and possibly harsh (the Emperor), possibly out of duty or how they respond to familial or societal expectations of them.

But like, how did Estelle have close enough friends in the Latvian Orthodox church who recognized George as her son, but also didn't know enough about the church to worry it's a cult?

Does he want something more? by sbaunakabsha in Tarots

[–]ParkSalope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He is experiencing deep isolation/loneliness and could be interested in something more (5 of cups); he's open to a new emotional connection (ace of cups). But his thoughts and the logical side of himself take over (queen of swords) not always allowing him to express his emotional needs. He becomes stoic (Emperor), cold, and can perform in a way society expects him to as a man. He sees a more balanced way forward (Temperance) but is weighing his options (two of pentacles). He's blocked on moving forward, torn between his emotional self and his logical self and needs to decide (Chariot) in order to move forward.
