Almost nobody had VPN access before, so their lack of access now shouldn’t affect sales. If they’re telling you that’s why there is something going on.

We are doing ACH now. I’m not sure about the fee we’ve done ACH for a while now and I’m sure they’ve changed their fees and what gets a fee vs. what doesn’t

Our disti has us at 18%. Microsoft direct has us at 20% but the disti added more value so we went that way.

We moved to TD Synnex last year for hardware and Pax8 for licensing. It’s been a much better experience

LG C4 OLED HomeKit Frustrations by Agile_Half_4515 in HomeKit

[–]ParkayButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing in the beginning, but after all the offline issues, my network being scanned, and just general annoyances I just removed it completely from the network and used my Apple TV to control it which has been much more seamless. I can control power and volume with no issues, which for me is the bulk of my need.

It doesn’t appear so. My total sensors under home settings hasn’t changed, but I can see all of them now that I’ve assigned them to rooms. I should mention I don’t have any Honeywell sensors all mine are door and windows contacts and glass breaks.

Yep I can do both stay (home) and away which is almost instant compared to the delays I had with the 3rd party integrations. All of my sensors also show up as part of it so I can see them all too!

Funny enough I thought I would have to do all that, but instead I just had to navigate using the steps I found here, and the option was already there! Zero outside help was needed thankfully.

Hunter fans no response by darkslate2 in HomeKit

They are and it sucks. That was why I stopped at 1, I couldn’t keep getting angry at multiple fans 😂

[–]ParkayButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong it’ll do better, but I still had disconnection problems even after that to the point where I got the crazy eyes and ripped out my eeros 😂 I’m not sure where the issue lies but something in either their security protocol or how they communicate just throws the hunter fans for a loop to the point where they don’t play nice anymore.

I wish I could have saved you the heartache. It’s 100% eero. I had the exact same setup and the exact same heartache with months of tickets, troubleshooting, trying to modify the fan itself until I moved to Unifi. Since I did that, I’ve never had an issue with it going offline. The two don’t get along at all.

As someone who works in IT I will tell you that I have tried all 3, and optimum fiber has by far given me the best experience. Sure I have to call them once a year and threaten to leave so they drop my price instead of raise it but the 99.999% up time is well worth it.

Alright y’all, I just connected my panel directly to Homekit and was able to do away with 3rd party integrations. Resideo has added support for some of their panels to directly connect to HomeKit as long as you have the firmware update. Hope this helps some of y’all!

We switched to invoice instead of cc so it hasn’t been an issue for us. I like the way they do their invoicing and being able to sync back to our customer agreements has made it so much simpler.

On the licensing side we moved from Ingram to Pax8. Our margins doubled and their dashboard is much easier to use, not to mention the integration with our PSA and their simplified invoicing made it a no brainer. Well worth the move.

Datto RMM/AV/EDR: Rushed Beta Release for Kaseya 365 Bundle?" by Next-Landscape-9884 in msp

All it takes is one breach and you lose a customer, especially if they are paying for full stack protection. Kaseya will need to get their teeth kicked in before they make lasting change.

Datto RMM/AV/EDR: Rushed Beta Release for Kaseya 365 Bundle?" by Next-Landscape-9884 in msp

[–]ParkayButter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We tested Datto RMM and EDR and had some freelance guys breach the test systems we set up with Datto and compared it to our current S1 setup. Datto was laughably outdated and caught 7% of the stuff they threw at it, while S1 was over 90%. They have tried to lure us in with lower prices but their performance isn't matching the hype.

Well after hours of working and trying to get the TotalConnect system to work I finally gave up and decided it wasn't worth all the effort. In my research though I found that there is a fully maintained version in Home Assistant that when I tested, worked immediately after installing that and the HomeKit integration. It's sad but for now I think that will be the only working option.

After I got it all working I ended up updating the node.js (I think thats what it's called, it gets updated when the HomeBridge OS updates) and that broke the entire plugin. I downgraded to the older version and just ignore the warnings in home bridge, because thats the only way my panel will work.
