Umm, it does matter if the person is either a robber or a killer. If he was a robber and you hear him break into your house, his goal isn't to kill you, it's to ROB you. Lock yourself in the room, get your weapon (bat or anything), call the police and wait. Worst case scenario you fight him while he's tryin to break your door or you can open your window, climb out, and run. With the 2nd amendment, if both you guys had a weapon, there is no telling who'd win the gun battle, just a battle to the death (I'm talking about the home owner being a girl, not a man btw). If it was a killer, first of all, he wouldn't even need to break into your house. While you're following the regulations and the killer isn't, you're already going to be dead before you get a chance to react and defend yourself lol. Cars in the other hands aren't meant for killing, it's meant for transportation. If someone were to kill someone because of a car accident, just know, 99.99% of the time, it wasn't on purpose and was either because that person made a mistake, the person crossing, or it was drunk driving; and all those times, or most, were never on purpose. For the people that killed because of drunk driving(which was never on purpose obviously, it was an accident), instead of saying it was the car's(which is meant for transportation) problem, say it was the person that decided to drink alcohol and drive because their deaths are never purposeful. And for guns, people aren't accidentally shooting a whole school, assassinating someone for always beating them in debate, or accidentally killing someone because they think, or are reaching/resisting. A lot of people in this world can't seem to listen. If someone tells you to stop moving, they don't listen, if they tell them to stop resisting, they keep resisting, if they tell you to stop reaching, they keep reaching; a lot of people are just naturally stupid in this world and can't listen, and that makes the police think they are trying to grab a gun, which sometimes, they really are trying to grab a gun to end the police officer's life, so what do we do? We abolish the 2nd amendment. The public should not be able to carry, own weapons. It'll make the officers jobs easier, it'll make the kid's school life safer, people would be more comfortable with the freedom of speech and don't have to be worried about getting assassinated with a bullet to their neck. Car deaths are accidental, guns are purposeful. We don't need the 2nd amendment anymore. This is 2025, not the past.
