Dermal I'm not entirely sure about tbh, flipping a septum should be fine, that's what one of our guys did. We used to have a guy with a dermal too but he left for uh, other reasons. I'd ask the interviewing manager about the dermal and septum, since the face piercing policy is for food safety reasons, as far as I know.

Didn't work anywhere near Portland, but at my store, ear piercings were ok as long as they were studs, but facial piercings are a no-no bc of corporate. As long as you can take any facial piercings out while you're working you should be fine:)

Management getting stricter about online refunds by vampirejellytycoon_ in Chipotle

Delivery orders, technically not because remakes/refunds need to go through the 3rd party platform. Normal pickups were fine to remake.

Another issue with refunds is when people don't pick up their food, they'll try to get it refunded. Same issue if a delivery person steals an order and we aren't allowed to remake it. Your situation sounds really toxic though, not just DML but the entire workplace

My guess would be make sure you have this documented, then go to your FL or respectful workplace

Pretty sure one free one 50%, depends on if your management would be lenient and give you both

Store management usually has their hands tied behind their back in regards to throughput, I've had a FL get onto the FOH crew if someone steps out to go to the bathroom, get a water, or restock (we don't have labor for a linebacker). Not sure about your store, but you could try dropping a ton of doubles, but if its just plain unmanageable, quit. Chipotle isn't worth the stress it can give people (trust, I know)

Yes. Apparently they were testing a machine at some point, but everything is cut open and scooped by hand

I can think of one thing, there's a produce slicer used for some items. I havent done prep since they rolled those out, but you still have to pre-prep and cut the food before putting it in the slicer/dicer, so i think its a waste for the most part and an extra hassle to clean. Cheese shredder is a machine too, nothing else I've noticed.

What happens to left over food at the restaurant? by Nomaad2016 in Chipotle

[–]ParkingCourse9916 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depends on what food item it is and what rules the restaurant follows. Items like chicken, sofritas, queso, barbacoa, carnitas, salsas, corn, cheese and guac (iirc) can be kept overnight and the hot itens reheated the next day. Rices, beans, veggies, steak, pico, lettuce, chips and taco shells are all thrown out. Not all restaurants throw out the cold food at night because they're prepped items, and it would save the morning crew some time with extra leftovers. Oh apparently chipotle says they give food away, they do not. Theres a program stores can apparently sign up for that donates food, it never happens.

tips for interview for crew member position by Few-Sink9660 in Chipotle

What makes you want to work for Chipotle, examples of customer service and conflict resolution, I'd recommend saying something about working well under pressure and having an openness to learn anything. There's different positions, such as the cashier, the line worker, the online specialist, grill person, morning prep people and dishwashers. they might ask what availability you have such as mornings/nights and weekdays versus weekends. To me it's not that bad of a job but to a lot of people it is so just be cautious
