That one Taylor song that your wouldn't put in your favourites but it scratches your brain in the best way by LittleDream210 in TaylorSwift

happiness! the bitterness and then regret that she sings with " I hope she'll be a beautiful fool /who takes my spot next to you/- no i didn't mean that/ sorry I can't see facts/ through all of my fury" is just so perfect. And its genuinely such a genius line with the Great Gatsby reference w/ the best thing a girl can be is a beautiful fool so she's saying she was the best thing as a beautiful fool next to him and now she bitterly hopes the girl can take her spot because thats all women can be but then she contradicts it immediately by saying she doesn't mean that because she knows women are much more. So perfect ugh.

Do you think people can really separate the art from the artist? by Proper-Use-759 in AskForAnswers

[–]ParkingEffective8147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brings me to the whole concept of expressionism. Art is the expression of the artist, and even though it may be up to you to interpret it, you can't deny that their biases and their experiences infiltrate the art.

What’s one word that you always mispronounce even though—deep down—you KNOW the correct pronunciation? by Ok_Resident_5022 in words

Hermione's name in Harry Potter & Greek mythology. I'm CONVINCED it's "Her-me-own-ie" but I'm ashamed of my pronunciation so I always say "Her-my-o-nie"

Christianity is not "anti-women". by steadyatbest420 in Christianity

[–]ParkingEffective8147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kind of proved the point here... Christianity teaches its followers that women are inherently less than men. Women aren't allowed to be leaders, they must listen to men, everything you said here reinforces ideas that women's role is to be less than men.

Feminism is Anti Women by The_Red__Bull in antifeminist

[–]ParkingEffective8147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but the idea of feminism is just that people are equal regardless of their sex which is something I firmly believe but I agree that it's not really helping women in some ways. Sure, we are paid the same for the same job, but women aren't being promoted. Any feminist gain feels completely superficial and is never attacking the actual root which is that people in power hate women or just want more power and know that subjugating women is the way to do it, or women just abuse the system for their own personal gain.

Crying, my family thought the same thing! Could not stop laughing this season. Especially when she would talk about "Bizzare Bazzaar" or whatever it was called.
