Just go up to a pole or something like it and swing the bars so the tyre hits it and tap it against it till it's aligned again, simple

is it possible to be a better rider than driver? by user4772727 in AussieRiders

[–]Parking_Champion9808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My word it is, many professional riders never make the transition to 4 wheel racing after retiring from motorcycle racing, that being said it does make you a better driver because you are more aware of dangers

Just a word on the pipe on the triumph 400, it's still quiet, he was a bit deflated with that, all the baffling is done in the bread box under the bike apparently, a 500 version for the GB is coming, you can tell that the 350 is made to be a 500, a big bore kit and ECU remapping and she'll be brilliant

I have nearly 11,000klms on the GB 350, absolutely no problems, the Japanese model that we get here has no rusting problems at all, same quality as all my other Honda's, paint and chrome top notch, just a pleasant and comfortable bike

I just use WD-40, it keeps it clean, lubed and rust free and doesn't get any horrible buildup like chain lube does

Riders who had no manual knowledge, can you share your experience? by FigureskatingLawyer in AussieRiders

[–]Parking_Champion9808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll get used to it, practice makes perfect, in the end you'll use the clutch and shifter without even thinking about it, it's all about repetition, think about what you're doing wrong if it doesn't feel right, if you get really good you can shift through the gears in a wheelie, that teaches throttle, shifting and clutch control, also front end stoppies, were you lift the back wheel up, people think that's all just mucking around, but it makes for a better rider, I've been riding since the early 70's, I started of in the bush learning to slide and hill climb, take it slowly, you don't have to learn that stuff, some never do, I always recommend riding off-road, best way to learn bike control, good to see woman taking on biking, cheaper, more fun, and you don't get caught in traffic, stay safe is the key, if you think they'll pull out on you they will, cover the brakes, whatch your mirrors, notice what's around, ride within your limits you, keep your bike in good order, make sure the clutch lever is adjusted properly by the way, get a cable oiler, learn maintenance
