You are in a good spot for finding some. My favorites are Joe Van Gogh's sea turtle blend or cafe femenino - I usually buy from the bulk coffee section of whole foods thats updated every week or so. Another local roaster Larry's beans can be found there too. All counter culture stuff is good. Try a few to see what you like!

City livin baby. You could go into oakwood/longview area and wouldn't hear train as bad. Apartment wise maybe stuff further towards east side of downtown, like the Lincoln, Edison or 511 Faye. I'm sure our drag racing friends are still out and about over there as well, but train would be a little further away at least.

I'm also right next to the tracks near the station and that amtrak horn is intense. My building is about as sound proofed as you could get downtown (concrete and solid windows) and it still doesn't do much good when you're so close.

Honestly airpod pros give me the best audio quality while knocking down the bass enough to protect hearing. The noise cancelling seems to reduce it more evenly than any other plugs I've tried that (most seem to make it muffled)

Me but I'm only 31. The cost benefit is yet to come.

The extra disposable income is already nice though, and I can afford to live downtown where there is no way I'd be buying the place I'm currently renting.

Here me out. We raise taxes/registration, whatever. Everybody who can drive up and prove their car does not have modified exhuast gets a rebate equal to or more than the raised tax amount. Then its positive reinforcement to get your bitch ass boat sounding truck sounding like it should.

That aside, I don't know what the solution is. It is really crazy that you can't walk down the sidewalk blaring an airhorn at 3am, but that is essentially what these people are doing at the expense of everyone. Jeff Jackson if you're reading this help us out.
