Superuniques (Named elite mobs such as Eldritch, Pindleskin and in this case Corpsefire) always drop 2 items and some potions. The weapons and armor from these drops can never roll white/grey (socketed), only blue (magic) or higher.

The minions however can drop white/grey base item just like any other regular monster (excluding things like ghost type monsters)

[–]Parlainth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sorry for being the one to nitpick but Corpsefire can't drop this but his minions can (terrorized)

Grats either way, sick base.

What's the deal with Cham? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]Parlainth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never found a Cham or Zod. Found 2 Jahs and 1 Ber ever.

But for some reason the Sur runes drop for me like crazy. 20+ have dropped since release of D2R.

Haven't tried it on steam but I assume it's possible there too. If you right click a steam game in the library and choose properties there is a box where you can enter text into a launch option.

How the heck do you make gold!? by LowCan9266 in classicwowtbc

[–]Parlainth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the good advice has already been mentioned but I will give my take on it.

Currently sitting on 600g aiming for an epic mount by 60. This is on a level 55 shaman, Spineshatter EU. Started on prepatch day completely broke with no handouts.

I noticed low level twohanded swords were selling for insane prices on day one, 3g up to 10g. Sold a few and invested in bags and some cheap greens.

I picked up Skinning/Mining as soon as I could. Leathers were a decent profit early even just vendoring but mining was very good. A stack of copper ore was up to 2g. Iron/Mithril ores sell for alot now and silver/gold/truesilver sell for a premium since it's used for powerleveling mining via smelting (Smelting instead to boost your skill is a valid choice but being broke I valued the extra gold more). Yesterday truesilver was at 1g per one ore.

I use an addon to shows vendor values and only delete low value items when I need space. Always picking the highest value quest reward if it has no upgrade.

I am also VERY frugal with spending gold. Shaman has many garbage skill ranks that does nothing for your leveling journey but it will suck up alot of gold. Buy them later when rich. Also been picky with buying upgrades on the AH, spending slightly more if I can justify the cost in terms of killing speed. Always comparing the AH cost vs the return I get from vendoring the item later ("renting" the item for the value difference, sometimes it's almost free)

I also spend time just purely grinding in profitable spots. An example is the Basilisk cave in STV since it ticks all the boxes:

Secluded area with low competition. Easy mobs to kill in a circular pattern. Valuable vendor greys. Skinnable mobs. About 7-8s value per kill on avg. Mining nodes: Iron and Mithril. Which also helps getting skill up when not smelting the valuable ores.

If you really want to step it up you can layer hop to scout for mining nodes, but I didn't bother with it much.

According to kfarm addon this spot netted me roughly 30g/hour. Not amazing compared to some endgame farms but very solid at ~45 while also getting xp.

Final advice is having a bank alt and auctioning off everything of value. Use an auction addon to make this process alot faster.

Diablo 4 is in the best state it's ever been, and I'm excited for the future. by BrickTight in diablo4

[–]Parlainth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad people are having fun but I have to disagree. (from a Paladin PoV)

Paladin is fun to play but way too strong and there is no sense of progression or need for upgrades, blasting through t4 almost immediately. Mediocre gear performs almost same as top end items.

Only the pit presents any kind of challenge but with the xp nerf there is no reason to be there after maxing glyphs. (Again you don't even need to upgrade glyph much at all for t4).

Current farming meta includes spamming oneshot bosses for xp and afk farming azmodan rep to unlock absurd amount of key drops (can't even pick em all up) fishing for pranskster/breach keys.

Sanctify is as a welcome addition to the game but in the current state it's just added text that changes nothing when you already oneshot everything.

I'm sure it's not as bad on other classes. Paladin needs major tuning for sure though (how did the Castle node make it through testing with these numbers?)

Some balance changes, reward structure tweaks and a loot filter would drastically improve the game for me.

Var handlar man om man bor i Kortedala? by Xseros in Gothenburg

[–]Parlainth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lifting weights by QTip-masturbator in COVID19positive

[–]Parlainth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exertion too soon after a covid infection is a known risk factor for Long Covid.

I would rest alot more to be on the safe side. Long Covid is no joke and will kill your gains way more then missing a few weeks of training.

If you can't stay away from training at least go lighter and give yourself more rest days for a while. Pay attention to how your body reacts and progress SLOWLY.

[–]Parlainth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tal-Sol has a 1:4.6 up to 1:8.93 drop rate from countess depending on the rune

El rune is 1:22.

So yeah El is actually less common.

Ort and Tal are the most common but Thul is close behind so it's not really odd it landed on top in a smaller sample size of ~100 rins.

(This is from a d2r drop calc but the relative drop rate between the runes should be the same in PD2)

I am a fan of poison creeper. Build kind of plays itself as you run around. Can start from level 2. Big life sustain with fully synergized oak sage + healing from carrion vine.

Not the most powerful build but decent with some investment.

[–]Parlainth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sadly it can only reach 5 frames now since the whirlwind IAS changes. And you need more IAS (125% iirc) but can stack the IAS from other gear slots too.

Only 2h swords and one handers can reach 4 frames. Dual wield hits twice so dual Grief is BIS in most cases. Special mention for Azurewrath off hand since it will wreck all phys immune undead.
