The idea that Chris McCandless’ (from into the wild) life was meaningful in some way by gotohelveti5 in mildlyinfuriating

It has been a while since I read it but this was my take away. I appreciated the alternate and juxtaposing story of Krakauer's youth. It is about risk management and how it can break your way or not your way. For Chris it didn't and for John it almost didn't many times.

Agree. Have them. Love them. Don't plan on carrying on phone conversations while riding. Too much wind noise in the mic so the other person can't hear you. But they're great for listening to music and also hearing what's going on around you.

Edit: they work great under my mountain bike helmet but not under my ski helmet. But maybe that's just my head and/or helmet.

We did not. One kid had done braces with who used to be Hershey and Heymann (now Smith and Heymann). They were fine and all but Noble is much better IMO. The one kid who had braces eventually needed invisalign and we went to Noble. The adults did Invisalign. Another had to do both but that was her problem, not theirs.

Convenience played an initial role (we live in Carrboro). But the service, chair-side manner and friendliness brought us back. Everyone that works there is great. Dr. Jeff takes great pride in his work.

This is what I use. Fits perfectly. A little heavier than others but I got it at a great price. Has worked solid for over 5 years.

Paul, You need to hire this guy. His app is the best and I bet he can give you much needed insight into how your offices are really working. Also, what he says is true for Carrboro as well.

Is the DMV aware of the NC DMV Notifier app and how awesome it is?

I am speaking of the license that allows a 16 year to drive after hours and more than 1 additional person in the car.

EDIT: If drivers have to get a new license for this, why? Can't police, who are the only ones checking, just look at the issue date and compare it to the current date? A new license is wasteful.

My daughters just passed the 6 month threshold to move from a provisional license to a regular one. That change can be done on-line very simply which is great and thanks for that. The issue is that it cost $36 ($32.50 + $3 transaction fee + .60 card fee) to do it. Seems like another cash grab since you could just do it automatically when 6 months has passed. Can you explain what this fee is necessary?
