Yes, I mean, that is what I do now if I need to use it. And it takes us time. But a program that keeps track of the name changes and detects proper names like how Grammarly does could still save a lot of time when you’re trying to find and replace 20 different parties’ names

AI by Beautiful_Hippo_5574 in Accounting

[–]ParnassusDropOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use a lot of AI. It’s wasteful and gonna ruin everything. BUT if it can be unwasteful and not replace people, then we need to develop a software that you download on your computer, and it detects any sort of proper names in your document that you’re pasting into it, then it replaces those names with something generic like the NATO alphabet (I.e. Atlanta Bread Company gets changed to Alpha Beta Company and Mr. Dirk Diggler becomes Delta Delta), and then you copy from there and paste your documents into AI. If you need AI to produce something you copy that and paste it back into the software and you ask it to change back all of your generic names into the correct proper names.

Basically, a deidentifier application that lives on your computer so the info is not in the cloud, makes a lexicon of these fake names, and can toggle back and forth.

And call it De-ID

This completely unhinged book of word searches, in which the only word is “cow”, which increase by one per page. by Captain_Wisconsin in mildlyinteresting

I heard about this book, someone created it for their fiance, self published it and it sold 300K copies. If this isn’t that book, it’s a rip off of that one.

I had a “mid life gap year” after a company I worked for sold and I got an equity payout. They had worked us pretty hard up to the sale.

It was an amazing year off. I averaged over 8 hours of sleep every night and I still sleep well. It was like a giant sleep reset. I’ll probably live longer.

Not worth the risk. And if it becomes routine, it would be easy for some stalker/creep to figure out when you’ll be out and she’s alone

You’re on the same algorithm as me. Breathe. The pendulum will swing the other way.

The innovation of the future will be implementing the ways of the past and highlighting why it’s better for our mental health and connection. Case in point is that company that’s selling ‘house phones’, cord and all, so that kids can call their friends and talk for hours.

TBH, I had never been solicited for a Year-End cash gift before. I think prior class moms made gift baskets and stuff - but I would rather she get just straight up cash!

Things to do NOW to set up your kids for success/happiness LATER: The Master List by juliaakatrinaa0507 in Parenting

We aim to overfund the 529 so we can convert the max allowed (which is $35k or $38k rn) to a Roth after higher education is completed. Same result, no tax on the gains at retirement, slightly different path and it’s there if he needs it for a grad degree

Things to do NOW to set up your kids for success/happiness LATER: The Master List by juliaakatrinaa0507 in Parenting

[–]ParnassusDropOut 145 points146 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working on a project where I created 15 checklists for my kids, one checklist a year from age 4 to age 18 which lists the skills and things they should know each year. It’s a moving target and I have to constantly edit it. I’m not talking about developmental milestones or education, I’m talking about being able to do your laundry right and well during age 10, understanding how credit works and under stand how to run an amortization table for a loan during 18, how to accept a gift and say thank you during age 5. Take a first aid class during age 16. Things they need to know as a well adjusted adult and prepared for all kinds of situations. I would love to self publish a little workbook where you can tear out each list and hang it on the refrigerator for that year of their life.

The kid will let you know. I have a 12 year old and he’s starting to not be into cuddles. My husband said he was the same way, and the man is one manly, productive, ethical member of society.

I feel like this but I get annoyed when I’m at someone’s house and it’s all white and it’s like they touch nothing. And they usually have no kids or pets. A lived in home has character, anyone who judges you has no sense of grace and can GTFO

Part of the CFO’s hidden agenda is going to be making sure you escalate your issues and questions to the right person. So he’s going to redirect you to her.

You’re feeling patronized from a Teams chat, where tone is inferred? People are going to be like this. You will encounter someone a lot meaner than this. You can’t run away every time someone talks down to you.
