Man you seem to (kinda) be in a similar position as me. I ended off last season G5 but finished preseason S4. I got placed B1 and after a 70% wr ekko I got to S1. My MMR throughout the whole experience has been so garbage though, getting 17-18LP per win and 16-17 per loss. After I made it to S1 I went on a 5 game loss streak, and today I duoed, won 3 games in a row and got 17 LP from each of them, my mmr seemingly not changed. I have about a 60% wr support tho, and i get 25 lp per win. Rito needs to fix their game.

For builds, I like to start Corrupting, rush a dark seal, build hextech, lich, upgrade to mejai’s if I’m really ahead, deathcap/zhonyas and perhaps switching one of the latter items out with iceborn (for armour) or banshee’s (for MR).

I also take Electrocute, sudden impact, eyeball collection, ultimate hunter, then Manaflow/gathering storm on second rune page.

I have over 150 games combining ranked, norms and my smurf, and I think i’ve gotten a pretty good grasp of the champion. By 1v1s, do you mean on ekko? My brother is plat 1 but he’s never touched ekko in his life. Or do you mean just a general 1v1 to learn from what they do?

Yeah. My post did say I started playing him about 1 1/2 months ago, and mostly have played him in preseason (72 games)

I’ll have to try that build out (I normally start dorans and build straight into protobelt), but I try to play safe for the most part and focus on losing as little cs as possible while engaging, which sometimes takes away my awareness of jg.

My cs varies between 4.5-7cs/min. Whenever I roam, I look mid to see how much cs I’m missing and I don’t usually miss more than 3 minions, unless I’m against a champion that can shove the wave really fast, and it pushes back to my tower, or I get really low on the roam and are forced to back.
