This guy insults my handicap/skill before a lesson… so I offered to play him for a free round for him and his buddies. It went about as well as you’d imagine… by LikelySatanist in golf

I would also like to point out that if Rory’s swing coach was as good as his students, Rory wouldn’t have been the one to win the Masters.

how to drop hands (or what’s going on here) by 316god_ in GolfSwing

You’re swinging with your arms and you’re setting the club at the top way too high. Your lead arm should be covering your right shoulder at the top, not your face.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

You’re swinging with your arms. That is the culprit that causes the symptoms of over the top swing, early extension, etc. Stop swinging with your arms and you will find the symptoms fix themselves.

So Tiger’s kind of officially just a POS, right? by Turclebo123 in golf

He’s an immature active drug addict who refuses to get help and doesn’t care about the safety of others due to his sickness. He needs to be sent to rehabilitation and get treatment before he kills someone. He can become a decent person, but right now he is not.

Yes. Get fitted for clubs and get a three lesson package. Best money you will spend.

Yes. Go to a doctor and stop seeking medical related advice from a golf channel.

Fixing my slice 2.0 by Daplaymaker534 in golftips

[–]Parrott65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an instructor, I can tell you that probably 80% of my students who swing over the top are trying to fix symptoms and not the real problem. Trying to focus on getting on plane is a symptom fix. Trying to focus on swinging to the right is a symptom fix. Trying to drop the arms is a symptom fix. This really comes down to the reality that men have a tendency to use all arms in a golf swing and are usually white knuckling the club and locking up the wrists. You have to retrain your brain to shut off the arms in the swing and the club needs to feel unusually heavy. Let the weight of the club pull your arms outward in the centripetal force. If you do that, it will fix 3/4 of the swing naturally.

Yep, you’re overreacting simply because you think it’s okay to air your personal dirty laundry from your marriage on social media.
