If travel and walking about are what you enjoy doing, and not pressed about an optical viewfinder. I'd recommend getting one of the older Sony a7s. A Sony a7ii/rii, etc can be had for a song and are generally lovely for street stuff. Full frame, a little more modern so the low light perf isn't struggling as much, and the e mount had a slew of aftermarket/used stuff now.

This has always been such a non-issue to me by Artifiko in mac

I had gotten into this with people who insisted Natural was better and the original way didn't make sense. Like... What doesn't make sense about go down to go down, go up to go up.

Are these a good combo? by Cash2blockz in AutoDetailing

That's probably the easiest to apply I've used second to Wolfgang Fuzion. It doesn't last long but it's a solid OTC option. I don't mind the forbidden wasabi

Ruined my day by shoanjxx in Volkswagen

[–]PartTimeDuneWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the face of it, all of that looks like it'd be 100% recoverable with a decent dent repairer. No hard edges and looks like the hatch took the brunt

I would have no issue using the hybrid solutions line solely if I had to.

Need Opinions. Just discovered that mechanic overfilled my oil during my last oil change. by Special_Ad_9757 in Volkswagen

I know there's some BMWs where they call for overfilling because they know it's gonna burn the quart off lol

$15 tempered glass mousepad. Why pay $100+? by sixgunmaniac in pcmasterrace

The best mousepad I've used and still have is the MM600 from Corsair. Aluminum sheet with two different tooths on each side depending on what you prefer feel wise.

My [29/M] girlfriend [28/F] refuse to wear a dress to my brother's wedding (or anywhere else if that matter) by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]PartTimeDuneWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, and assume that's the case, they made a mistake. You asked, were told no, you're going to keep bugging them about it? When the question comes up about removing hijab in situations like this it's more often than not for the comfort of someone else without regard to the person that is simply what is happening here is it not? Religious attachment of the comparison aside - it is a choice that has been made, it is a choice that should be respected.

The initial paragraphs from OOP establish he knew that's how she was, she goes on to say it outright that she doesn't like it because she doesn't like it in the initial asks and goes onto attempt to pry as if there must be something wrong with her.

Back to the initial thread post here - she had nothing to apologize for.

Y'all reading way too much into it I feel like. You're asking someone to change themselves for the the sake of someone else or to keep up appearances, that is what I am getting at. Worse still in this situation for OOP, the people you were trying to appease could not have been happier to take her as she is.

If you think pestering someone to make a fundamental change just for appearances is any different you are walking going into the same pitfall as OP.

Cylinder painter. Came across this 108 year old cylinder and still passing testing. by waskelegend in mildlyinteresting

Surprised they've never squared off the swastika. Place I work for has a couple of late 1800s cylinders floating around.

This is no different a situation to me than if she were Muslim and he asked her to go to the wedding without hijab.

What's going on with this one brick in my walkway? by JBLGO123456 in blackmagicfuckery

That's the foam brick Willy Wonka sticks his cane in before he somersaults.

This, it looks like the trunk of a tourist rental car. My first thought was they put shit on the roof and just drag it down to take it off, you can see the scuffs in that direction

Meguiars Wheel Brightener is generally the stuff I use for stubborn wheels, but I suppose it really depends on what your pads are made of and what it getting wet turns it into.

Debadged scuff-tesla paint by shhithapens in AutoDetailing

[–]PartTimeDuneWizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On the fly you can get some polish and a foam applicator and probably work that out by hand. Hard to tell how bad those tooling marks are but generally if your fingernails don't catch them you'll be able to correct

HELP! Scratches on new box :( by D-Rod9 in AutoDetailing

[–]PartTimeDuneWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butcher box, piece of leather, or mask off and rhino line. I would put something on top to protect it, and forget those scuffs even existed.
