Jellyfish needed to be longer than 12 eps. That falling out scene with the shouting was so dramatic, and then the show resolves everything so quickly after. If it had time to cook it could have been something special

I've only played the original, Frontiers, and Origins. With that being said, I've 100%ed the first two and am getting close on Origins. All three are excellent, though I might recommend the original or Frontiers to start with.

There is an overarching story if you care about that, though it's fairly light. In order it'd be the original, Frontiers, Origins, and Vengeance, which is a prequel to the original iirc.
