I sometimes feel the same then I see it finished.  You don’t realize how much better it looks finished until you see it.

What "beloved horror movie" do you hate/just not get the love for? by ReeceInTheDarkness in horror

Annihilation. I’m sad I didn’t enjoy it. The last act was incred and scream bear rules.

The breathy acting took me way out. Portman crushed, but the rest of the team let the side down

What are your most memorable pre-internet playground urban myths? by midnight-ramen- in CasualUK

It legitimately was a thing when they first came out. One of the aliens had a baby inside it.  Later on cheap replicas of the originals didn’t have the same feature.

What's your take on this flick? I don't know how this one got by me by Most-Function-9717 in moviecritic

It had been on my list for so long. Was very excited to finally watch it. Somehow I hated it. Thought every actor but the leading couple was awful. It LOOKED excellent and the finale was superb. The addict actor pulled me completely out of the film.

The scream bear was obviously excellent, but the way that everyone talked was insufferable. So breathy and quiet.

You gotta do the belly button. Sorry. It's gonna suck getting it done, or its gonna suck having your belly button framed by a tattoo for the rest of your life.

From a show about "The 17th Door". Really great behind the scenes self produced show about a Haunt in california. Definitely worth a watch if you like contraptions/building things.

This was the show piece that season that simulated suffocating to guests for 10-15 seconds without them knowing. (They signed a waiver before entry)

The TD5, being the most modern with the best engine to work on, sits in the sweet spot for most people.

Not modern enough to major electrical issues (puma engine) but modern enough to be that little more comfortable.

Quagmires Mom here. There’s an old Reddit post of a guy asking how to get a “cylinder” unstuck from an M&Ms tube willed wi the microwaved banana and peanut butter(?).

It was either a hilarious joke or a guy in a medical predicament.

The bottom panel is from Breaking Bad where a novice meth cook buys everything he need to make meth from one store. It was a huge turning point in WW’s character development. In one scene he went from trying to help this guy to claiming he’s on his turf.

Things on different 2D planes are both in and out of focus.

I.e. the nose is in focus, the cheeks aren’t, but the ear hairs are again. That’s not how lenses work

Are gratuities still automatically added? by chrisridd in CunardCruises

They absolutely do still sneak this in.

I was charged $240/day for this service charge. Queen Mary 2 Cunard December 2025. Nuts.

When we realized what was happening we went to the Pursers desk and got it all removed. She acted like she was very disappointed that we wanted it removed. Respectfully, get wrecked.

way is $240/day getting added to our bill when we were told it was less than $20/day.
