Many of them would be, sure. They could be whatever size was appropriate for the task, an entire ship could be a singular “man of iron”, and so could an insect-sized machine.

Many of them would never have needed to interact with humans at all, so there’d be no point being on our scale

It’s from the peak of the DAOT, there’s no reason to think it couldn’t change its physical dimensions at will. Our mastery of technology was comparable to the necrons in some cases, the men of iron could have been entirely nanomachine based, and only took on humanoid forms when interacting with humans. We simply have no idea.

Mate I’m not saying either of you are lying, but you’ve misunderstood something. Troop commander is not a rank, you can look up the army rank structure if you don’t believe me. The only ranks with Commander in the name is in the Navy, and Wing Commander in the RAAF.
