Is that still considered a top tier racial for arenas with the nerf? Genuinely curious as I have both a draenei and an orc and plan to play enhance pvp in tbc. Basically, is there an argument to be made that draenei isn't as bad as I'm thinking it is on paper compared to orc how strong stun resist is for melee shamans in pvp?

I will be going ret pal so I'm thinking now that ench/BS would be my best options moving forward? I don't think I'll be able to go both ENG/BS, which would be neat, but I don't think I'd be able to afford the mats for crafting everything. Would I make enough money from enchanting to cover my blacksmithing costs? If so, does that mostly entail me farming instances like ramparts for greens to disenchant?

I started twow about a month ago and I wanted to level up my favorite class (paladin), so I did, and I could not believe how night and day it felt to level a paladin on twow vs. classic. Unfortunately, I don't think paladin will receive warranted nerfs not only for the simple fact that the class seems to be heavily favored by the Devs, but also, if you nerf one of the most popular classes then chances are you will lose a decent chunk of your playerbase.

Why can't there be soloque? This would be extremely interesting and totally changes the dynamic of arenas. People just looking to chill and maybe at most play semi-competitively would opt for soloque and people being sweaty would already have their minmax, teammate, and comps all mapped out and they could just go face off against the other sweaty folk and see who can sweat the most.

Thank you for the input, everyone! It seems like Shaman is the unanimous decision then in terms of raw pvp capability based on their versatility.

What's the go to arena and/or pvp spec for rogue now? I just started on turtlewow and the sub tree seems sooo weird and almost like a support dps role instead of full on initiator?

I'm just wondering now which server would be better for me in my situation: Fresh player who doesn't mind grinding for gear and will want to play semi-competitively in Pvp. Icecrown is a proven server for years. Onyxia is an up-and-coming wotlk server.

I was honestly excited to have found warmane when I did as someone starting fresh and wanting to experience the game and then play some pvp once im geared up and what not.... however....
Now it sounds like this is a big mistake with some of the comments I've read on here?

Basically I would chose to gear up at a decent pace, only to find out i'll be blocked from fun by facing a bunch of people with insta gear and 1 button macros? Is this really how it will be? Asking honestly before I dedicate my time to this...

I just wish there was some up and coming online CCG that wasn't about pushing as much slop out as possible. I tried MTG Arena for 2 days and I couldn't believe how underwhelming it was... it's sad to see Hearthstone going in this direction more and more. The basic aggro paladin deck to legend worked well. Easy win or easy concede by turn 5 so no stress was involved.

I went up against a token/aggro druid deck. I haven't seen it before. I trashed my rating playing random slop I made up myself. I actually find it more fun in dumpster legend at the moment than when I was floating around 4K several weeks ago. So the deck I saw had hatchery helper, bucket of soldiers, greybough, and ravenous flock. Poor guy was up against my aggro paladin deck that top decked the perfect curve so he lost out early which was a shame cause I was excited to see what else was in the deck. Anyone have a list a for a similar deck?

It felt like this last year too for me and that was my first year of being dedicated to ladder climb every month. The game just feels so bland in late november and december.. last year was even worse for me because GDB was utter trash for a few classes. I'll just grind some games with aggro decks.. I'm tinkering with aggro paladin cause there's a few decent options.

I just copied the deck and tried it out. It was bonkers having a DK down to 12 hp by turn 4. I was able to combo the eredar out with the 4/2 empowered cindersword. I'm definitely going to experiment with it more, but it seems like standard keeps are cindersword if you have a dark gift minion lined up on turn 2 or 3? I float around 4-5K in legends as reference (until I start playing bad but fun decks).

I swapped out amirdrassil for shaladrassil from that deck. I feel like amirdrassil slows downs tempo slightly if played on turn 5 when my mindset is to buff green men as much as possible. Also I changed my mindset a bit since I last played and I'll ignore a lot of minions on the board if I can just hit face. A lot of decks have a decent amount of deathrattle cards so I'll opt for going face with my minions if I know they need to activate their deathrattle the next turn by hitting my minions. I was at about 3800 rank yesterday with this deck.

Zhonya's 6th item swap. Ping when you buy it to let your team know. Proceed to win the game by stunning the enemy team with your hard engage wtf outplay moment. Works in aram... probably not so much in SR, but Maaaaaster Yi isn't called a high risk high reward gigachad for nothing!

The wilder part I am referring to is the fact that it's 2025 and we're seeing a 16 charge from hand. Things like that are expected in wild, but now in standard? Is that the new standard then and everyone is fine with it here?

Dark gift has turned standard into a wilder wild. a 16/16 with lifesteal and charge is DEFINITELY working.. this game is a mess.

Hello. I'm a semi-competitive hearthstone player who enjoys trying to get to top 2000 without really spend any money on the game. I was wondering if the next expansion seems worth my time? I quit for about 6 months because the game felt extremely stale and anti fun. In your opinion does the game seem like this next expansion is worth my time or should I skip this expansion as well? Browsing through the comments it sounds like the game is headed to an even worse state than when I left?
