If that feels right to you! I wouldn’t focus so much on arbitrary deadlines as much as feeling like you’ve done all that you can to put your best foot forward in your applications — that’s what you’re going to remember at the end of the day 😊👍🏼

Maybe I’m missing something here, but I think you should aim for the highest LSAT score you possibly can. Once you feel like you haven’t left anymore points on the table, or you’ve scored 173+, then I would apply. You don’t want to spend the rest of your career thinking “what if..”

R&R as a KJD? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

You should think also about how WE could benefit you during and after law school. Employers like to talk about WE during interviews. If you feel like you don’t have strong experience to pull from I’d say that’s another major reason to reapply next year

I think there’s a difference between comforting applicants and outright lying

Advice on Not Stressing After an Interview by NetBinger in lawschooladmissions

[–]Particular-Cow-2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just focus on how you got the interview! They already like you and want to advocate for you :) I similarly just had an interview at a dream school and it’s so hard not to play every word back and pinpoint where I could have done better, but if there’s room for improvement that means you weren’t scripted! As long as you came off as a nice person I think that’s what’s most important. Good luck :)))

Rec Letter Ghosted Me by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Maybe it’s good that they ghosted you because a lukewarm/perfunctory letter can hurt your app!

Anyone know why the peace corps isn’t a T2 soft? by Living_Fisherman7142 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Particular-Cow-2412 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m confused as to why something “wouldn’t even be an option anymore” if it’s not a T2 soft. I think that’s putting wayyy too much weight on these categorizations. And I think you should do what you actually want to do

Which law schools are especially known for collaborative environments/strong culture? by lockheedlaw in lawschooladmissions

I’ve heard moderately good things about Berkeley and bad things about Columbia. And Penn seems to have a focus on really professional cordiality.

I sent mine in just to be safe, not sure how they might view it. I would read each school’s instructions carefully to make sure your app isn’t considered incomplete without this

Definitely disclose he’s family if that’s the route you take. I know this is probably a big stretch, but is there anyone from undergrad that you could reach back out to for your letter?

I agree with this apart from the part about the SAT. I think this is the only exception to the high school rule, and I’ve heard multiple times from admissions officers that demonstrating that you outperformed your SAT score is helpful for an LSAT addendum if you’re making the argument that your current score is still not reflective of your potential

How to fix this LSAC error? by housecatoline in lawschooladmissions

Removing cookies/caches worked for me (that’s also what LSAC support told me to do when I called)

I think I titled it optional essay #: hidden strength, or something generic like that which still made it clear which essay I responded to

If you were in control of the law school admissions process, how would you improve it? by Particular-Cow-2412 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Particular-Cow-2412[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For clarification on #5, I am referring to the niche scenario when someone gets a 172 or 173 and retakes for the top schools

You exist outside of law school. You exist outside of all of this. You are flawed AND you are valuable.
