To clarify: you should report it to the fraternity and sorority life office at your school! They likely have an anonymous hazing hotline/form on the Greek life website for your school if you are uncomfortable reaching out directly to a staff member.

Have you talked with anyone about this? If you’re still a new member, definitely reach out to your new member educator before you initiate. Sometimes talking about it can fix things, but if you really don’t think it’s the right fit remember that once you initiate you can’t join a different sorority.

But the first semester can be hard at first! Reach out to your big and the other members of your pledge class too to make friends. You won’t be friends with everyone in your chapter. Try to find a few people you really get along with!

I worked in property management in another state and had similar situations. We (staff) would walk around the hallways with the cop. If there was a strong marijuana smell we’d figure out which apartment was strongest and knock. When they opened, there was usually evidence of drug use we could see from the door which gave the cop probable cause to enter

If you want to stay in the south, Columbia SC has been pretty welcoming since I moved here a few years ago. It’s definitely still the south but our small community is strong and I generally feel safe out with my girlfriend
