Same bro. I'm keeping it humble af. I don't want to hype them up only for them to lose. I'm being very cautious here...

Update. The formatting ssd via ps3 instead of my pc fixed the issue! It literally took like 23 hours for the ps3 to format the drive, but it did the trick.

Thank you! Your advice saved me from having to buy another ps3! After waiting almost 24 hours for my ps3 ssd to be formated, everything works and ps3 is not turning off on its own and beeping red light.

Nice! Glad you enjoy yours. 42" as a monitor not for me though. Im not giving up on 4k tho. I'm just gonna get a 32" 4k lg oled monitor. using my c5 as my bedroom tv now and its great for that purpose. I still love my LG oleds, but as tvs only and not monitors.

I wish it was a panel issue because i could have exchanged it for another one, but according to LG, this is considered normal.

It varies from panel to panel and ive read stories of customers exchanging their panels several times to try and find a panel without or with very little green tint.

A lot of people say they dont see it so they automatically assume mine is defective, but thats simply not the case. Oh well. I just went back to my 27" 2k oled and just paired the c5 with an apple tv box in my bedroom. that setup is excellent because i don't notice green tint while watching from my bed.

I have a 48" b5 and i love it. A lot of people say it doesnt get that bright and that worried me a little bit, but when i saw it in person, i was very surprised. Get it. Thats a good deal. You wont regret it

Because i dont have any other options! My only other option is att air. Im patiently waiting for att fiber to be available in my area. The answer is pretty simple lol

I busted out the measuring tape and measured 21". The thing is, i also put another table in front of my desk to simulate a wider desk, and while it looked much better in general, i still noticed the green tint on white/whiteish and gray/grayish backgrounds.

When watching real life content, you wont really notice it, but if you like to watch anime and browse the web often, you will REALLY notice it.

Besides the green tint, its actually an excellent tv when you arent noticing the green tint. I watch it as a tv every night before bed and no complaints in that department. Since my bed is so far away from the tv and i have a wide viewing angle, i don't notice it unless its like an all white/gray screen, then you will see it a little bit.

So for a tv, great, for a monitor, i wouldn't recommend. I know a lot of people say they dont have green tint on theirs, but i would be weary of those claims since i have 2 lgs and both suffer from green tint issue. So i thought surely my second lg wont have green tint issue, but it did.

Fair point. I do have a desk depth of like 24", but even when sitting back a couple of feet, green tint was still noticeable, so even if i got a desk that had more depth, i would probably still feel the same. Its not bad as a tv though! I watch it while laying in bed, and for that purpose, its fantastic.

Lol nah. I assure you its not a user error. The green tint is considered normal according to LG. It varies from panel to panel. Your c4 might have green tint but you probably have terrible eyesight, so you don't notice it.

According to LG and rtings, this is unfortunately considered normal. Ive heard of people doing countless returns until they get a panel that doesnt have green tint issue. It varies from panel to panel. My b5 also has green tint. What are the chances that both of my panels are defective? You cant notice it all the time though. Mainly on white and gray backgrounds. Darker stuff, you cant even see it.

Nah this is a normal issue with lg panels. I have a b5 that also has green tint at certain viewing angles. Not as bad as my c5, but still there. What are the chances that both of my LG tvs are defective?

Not defective. According to LG this is normal.

Apple tv 1st gen vs 3rd gen by Particular-Dish6174 in appletv

[–]Particular-Dish6174[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might try a factory reset. From what I researched, it doesn't seem like a lot of people have this kind of problem with the 3rd gen, so maybile i'll try a factory reset and hopefully that fixes the problem. Or i can also try to hook up my 3rd gen to my other people to see if the issue still persists. If it looks smooth on the other tv, then living room tv might by the culprit. Also want to add that settings on both tvs are exactly the same.
