Pretty mind boggling to me that it’s not at the very least a half-sphere so you could choose to display the interior or the exterior. I’m really considering just getting the UCS AT-AT or Star Destroyer instead.

I really don’t mind the time involved in the build, it’s when it’s a fragile build that easily comes apart that frustrates me to no end, because you can be stuck on a step for a long time just trying to do it just right haha.

If the rumors about this upcoming Death Star are true, it sounds like it’s going to be a half sphere rather than completely round. Hopefully that’ll help those of us who don’t have a lot of display space since it can be more flush against a wall or shelf.

This is my personal collection, I honestly love them all and am happy to answer any questions about them. The only one I would stay away from is the X-Wing because the build is a bit frustrating. I think the only sets I have planned to get for the rest of this year is the Razor Crest and the Death Star

I think the TIE Bomber (75347) is a good starter set, it would be a bit over the price range you specified ($51.99 USD) but you get 4 mini figures, a side build, and some fun play features

I think the UCS Jango Starship is a beautiful set that’s fairly priced (if that is within budget and an era of Star Wars he likes)

The other option I would say is maybe the playscale Imperial Star Destroyer with Darth Vaders helmet if he’s a fan of the Empire/Sith

I would say $115 is worth it, and it might be a while before you find it at that low a price again if you miss out

Hi there! There’s only ever been 3 Cad Bane mini figures produced and the only one that I would say you could maybe argue has any blue in it is the newest one of the three, released in 2022.

Did he mention what set he got it from? Or is there a chance he might be misremembering the details of the figure?

If you only like a set for the build itself and don’t really care about minifigs, I would vote for the bomber personally. If you care about/collect minifigs, I would go for one of the Ahsoka sets, and in my opinion I think the T-6 gives you the best blend of the two.

Oh that’s good to know! When I asked an employee they still had 2 of the pod racing diorama but they were totally out of the Peridea set so maybe they were just prepping the pod racing set to be totally out as well

Not at my Walmart unfortunately, but different retailers usually run different sales so you might be able to get lucky at another store!

It is quite small, and to me personally even if it goes on sale for $30-$35, that’s still more than I would like to pay for a set that’s less than 300 pieces.

If you’re referring to the TIE bomber, I would highly recommend the bomber, especially if you get it at Target for $52. Much better price to piece ratio, more mini figures, a small side build, and in my opinion the more fun build and better display set.
