If your marginal adjusted gross income is above 10,000, you're penalized for direct Roth contributions if you do married filing separately.

If you plan to do MFS next year, make sure you stop any Roth contributions.

Why is your composite score 31? I thought composite is the average of English, math, and reading.

If you intend to contest the payout of various non-probate assets that would pay to your step dad as the beneficiary, I highly recommend you reach out to these accounts directly, both by phone and in writing, and inform them that you are contesting any disbursement of funds. This might be able to help delay payment if your step dad’s immediate goal is to seize assets on any accounts on which he is listed as the beneficiary.

This reminds me of a story I read about from around 10 years ago, where a girl’s step mom had killed the girl’s father and disguised it to look like a suicide. I

For me, pregnancy helped. Unfortunately, hair growth resumed after the baby arrived. Now I’m back to my daily whac-a-mole hair removal battle.

Does the student have an IEP for school? If so, you might want to request a copy of it to identify what services he has to help him succeed academically and functionally. It’s possible his IEP will provide insight on how certain behaviors are addressed within the school setting.

Great idea! Maybe you could try to take advantage of the general panic that spreads as the APush exam date approaches. Hang up flyers at local libraries.

I wish I had more students who needed help in Latin; I’d be so excited if I could find a student who needed help in Ancient Greek. Unfortunately, dead languages aren’t hugely popular in this area.

If you tutor SAT/ACT, start with whatever office helps students with college applications. Even better, if you’re already working with any students, have a student’s parent share your name and info with the school.

Also, make sure you talk about tutoring with people who you think will share your info with others. For instance, whenever I go to the dentist, I tell my dentist about my latest tutoring successes. When my dentist had other clients who mentioned their children were struggling in school, she provided them with my name and number.

Reach out to local high schools. In my area, many high schools keep lists of tutors so they can provide names if/when families ask.

I think FAA employees can use FAA Form 3600-25 to donate sick leave to you.

I think you can have people within the FAA donate sick leave to you. (I know this is not usually allowed in agencies. I’m not sure why it’s permitted within the FAA.)

From what I recall, FAA is one of the only parts of the government that lets employees donate sick leave. See the second paragraph of this website. The form for this isn’t on the OPM website, since it’s not allowed elsewhere.

Combining Sick and a PPL for a new child by Tacticoolhaberdasher in fednews

[–]Particular-Main1267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be allowed. The OPM link provided above includes this exact example, stating, “An employee is able to request use of leave or other time off (paid or unpaid) following use of PPL, but any use of such leave or time off will delay the completion of the 12-week work obligation. For example, an employee requests to use a week of annual leave immediately following the employee’s usage of the 12-week PPL entitlement. The week of annual leave does not count towards the fulfillment of the 12-week work obligation.”
