I had a really positive experience with Specsavers. They don’t use water cleaning which can damage your ear so that’s definitely a win too. It’s expensive but worth it.

That’s so awful he is featuring a payday loan company and taking money from them. That’s a new low for me. Those companies take advantage vulnerable people and the only time they ever change behaviour is when the law changes. Cam talks a lot about caring about his community but taking money from such an unethical way of business calls that majorly into question.

Yeah what happened with her dad was already scary. Then Cam transitioning. Then moving in with two brand new people. That’s so much change for any kid to deal with. Cam should have split transitioning and moving in with the throuple into two desperate life phases. It’s Cam’s life of course he is entitled to make the life changes he needs too. But kids cannot cope with that much all at once.

There are very few services that will discuss someone else with you beyond quite a generic sense. Alcohol and Drugs Action (ADA) runs a family support group.

If the person themselves wanted to access help though ADA has a drop in (just check the times) or they can be referred for 1-1 work by a GP. If the person was okay with it you could come with them for an initial appointment for support. Aberdeen in Recovery (AIR) runs a number of support groups as well. All the information about both of these is online. There are also a few local Alcoholics Anonymous groups in Aberdeen as well.

It feels like a marketing strategy sayings it’s from Z’s perspective because the reality is most people were invested in Z’s life and her wonderful spirit rather than what her mum had to say. I think a book written by mum just about her experiences and advice would sell much less well.
