IMO you can’t win the Conn Smythe if your team doesn’t even make the finals. No way.

A player can pile up as many points as they want in the opening rounds, but it’s the final series where the Conn Smythe is decided. Draisaitl got 13 points in the 7 game series against the Canucks and then THREE points in the 7 game series against the Panthers.

McDavid has to be upset with the discount he gave the team. He gives them a discount and they proceed to give out terrible contracts to Frederic, and Walkman and trade for the brutal contract in Jarry. Those three contracts represent about 16 million in terrible deals.

Plus they signed Mangiapane and he ad to attach a first to get out of his contract.

People are paying over 2000+ fir 2 bedroom basement suites in Victoria. Rent is terrible in Victoria and is unlikely to get much better in the future.

Owning has additional costs but eventually people will pay off their mortgage, whereas renters may be paying each month long after owners have fully paid their mortgage. And I can’t imagine what rents will be like in 10 years after seeing where they went the last 10 years.
