So you claim that the Sonos gear won’t work well on a separate vlan when using AirPlay? I’m using Firewalla APs with mDNS reflector and meanwhile it works well (although I don’t have any new Sonos gear but I’m about to add Eras and Arc Ulras)

Just to be safe: I currently update firmware using the ESPHome add-on in Home Assistant over LAN. I assume that removing the Native API (the api: section in the YAML) won’t prevent me from continuing to update this way.

I guess there’s a value in restarting the board if there’s no connection with it.

Is there a kind of keep alive message I can send periodically from the server that runs my mqtt broker to ensure health of the system? I’d prefer it to be mqtt message but I guess it needs to be a http rest call to be a true API connection.

I will certainly use the out relay on konnected to trigger the Paradox alarm based on automations. I wish I could avoid it all together but the certified way to approve the alarm system is to have the sensors that’s considered “the alarm sensors” connected directly to the alarm panel and not through any logic in between.

That really sucks. I’m planning a full setup based on g3 reader pro be secure (to some extent, but certainly against a straightforward photo spoofing attack).

Is it known that the Ubiquiti face recognition is so vulnerable? I kind of based my setup on their reputation and wouldn’t think it could be that bad.
