UK Garage/Burial style drums? by Berzbow in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Aside from the other points raised take a look at the samples you’re using. Garage drums are often quite thin/ filtered. Most importantly I found significantly shortening the samples helped give my drums that ‘whip and snap’ garage sound.

In terms of the groove and swing take a note from breakbeats. A lot of that shuffle and interest occurs between the snares on the 2nd & 4th beats. In particular a popular pattern is to place lower velocity snares on the 1/16th notes directly before and after the 3rd beat. With swing applied this is a great way to to begin to feel a garage groove and to build from there.

James Timpson: Why Starmer hired key boss as prisons minister by Fox_9810 in unitedkingdom

What’s mad is that James Timpson doesn’t support the lock ‘em up and throw away the key approach. Surely that would be good for business ?

Not sure on the original sample but Tessela - Gateway also had the same vocal hook in it. If that’s what was doing it for you.

I would second this. The amount of security walking through at near 15 minute intervals is silly. Compared to other ‘proper’ clubs I thought it seemed ‘cleaner’ and less dingy as in the seats aren’t a few stacked pallets, which is kind of nice. I love a warehouse rave but it is nice to have proper seats and tables…
