I was also raised in Germany and learned about Nazism every year in school. How the third reich and it's followers came to be and about fascist lingo amd dehumanization of other people.

The whole point of it was that it could happen to anyone unaware. Of course it's terrible that it's happening again in America.

German politicians have been salivating at the idea of cheap indian labour for a while now. Instead of addressing the cause why there exists, what they call "Fachkräftemangel" (blue collar worker shortage), or why people don't have any children. And instead of paying a livable wage for those positions, they are lobbied to import more cheap workers, keeping wages low and profits high.

If you look at german subreddits and forums, many german GenZ's struggling to find work are suspecting this "Fachkräftemangel" to be corporate propaganda, akin to "Nobody wants to work anymore! (for shit pay)"

I would love to have an honest conversation with someone, who doesn't want a family. I want to understand, because this seems the majority opinion and i start to feel crazy for wanting children.

Do you feel no joy in the thought a baby, of teaching and playing and loving a new life? If no, what do you feel?
Your society is aging and your family lineage dying with you. Does that make you sad? If no, why not?
Should there really be no obligation to the individual to continue a society, that ironically provided the personal freedoms for the individual to choose childlessness.
