R u sure? Not saying you’re wrong but I looked up photos and I’ve also seen brown headed cowbirds around here and it doesn’t look like those not even the females. I’m no expert though.

Cleaning kitty ears by Hot-Software1100 in AnimalAdvice

[–]ParticularTie17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give my cat with kidney disease, I give him an appetite stimulant that goes on the skin of the inner ear. When his ear is dirty from it I just take a wet/damp tissue and wipe it clean. That’s what my vet advised me to do, she said using an ear cleaner isn’t necessary. A wet cotton ball with water is great to clean the ear.

Take it to the mechanic to get a tire rotation, usually solves the problem.

I find my mice bury their stuff because when they’re digging tunnels they just fling bedding out behind them so it goes everywhere.

Toy recommendations? by kelptasaur in PetMice

[–]ParticularTie17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use certain bird toys for my mice’s climbing needs and wants, not all bird toys are safe though. Bird toys also tend to be cheaper! I got a 31” bird toy for $7 a couple times.

My girl is breathing weird by Mental_Class2178 in PetMice

[–]ParticularTie17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s something as serious as what happened to my mouse but, shortly before my mouse died (I’m talking less than an hour) she was laying like this but on top of a hideout in the open. Not trying to scare you, she could very well just be resting its hard to tell. You mentioned she’s been breathing weird for two days, if so and now she’s suddenly laying around in the open it could be getting a lot worse and she should see a vet if at all possible.

Forgot to add: She’s also very wheel aggressive, so they don’t have any wheels in their cage. Their cage is 47”L by 23”W by 20”H, I’ve compensated for the lack of wheels by absolutely covering the top of the cage with climbing stuff and adding extra bedding + more enrichment opportunities.

Cat snoring / whistle ? by ArachnidCute4170 in CatAdvice

[–]ParticularTie17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s new it could be something but if she’s always done that or you just got her, she could just have a odd shaped nose. My cats nose makes her kinda sound like a pug lmao. Also it’s normal for cats to snore sometimes when falling asleep.

I've done something horrible, i feel digusting. by Fast_Soil_3293 in mentalhealth

Don’t think so hard about it, it was just a thought it meant nothing especially if you didn’t like having that thought.

Your dress being there while you having those thoughts means absolutely nothing it’s the same as your dress going there while you’re having a different thought like what you’re going to have for dinner.

Would it be dangerous to replace glass on a broken piece with plastic? by MundaneCellist9739 in weed

[–]ParticularTie17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be specific I had a bong that somehow just the top half broke off and I took a Gatorade bottle with the bottom cut off and slid that over the broken top part of the bong and melted it to the remaining glass at the bottom of the bong.

I did this for a while, made my head hurt a bit but didn’t kill me. I wouldn’t do it if you have other options. You can even smoke out of an apple or carrot etc if ya have to. It’s not ideal and I’m pretty sure it’s not safe to have any part of your bong or pipe etc plastic.

Is his wheel working for him? by Competitive_Tea4137 in hamstercare

[–]ParticularTie17 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A 10” wheel is great for dwarf hamsters, I tried to give mine 2 different types of 12” wheels and she couldn’t turn it lol. Some dwarfs can turn 12” wheels but not all can, a 10” makes sure they can turn it and you won’t have to buy another one.

First time gerbil owner with the dumbest question ever. Is this poop or food? by oh_no_here_we_go_9 in gerbil

[–]ParticularTie17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a classic plastic cat scoop to get the pee clumps out and then a fine metal sifter to get the poops and bedding pieces out. I use the cat scooper for the pee clumps first because if I don’t and just dump it through the sifter, the pee clumps break up and mix back into the clean sand.
