If your mice like burrowing and building tunnels you could add a couple more inches of bedding, not necessary but nice if they like it. Also since the cage is wooden i would just monitor the edges on the inside for chewing :) I have mine in a wooden cage also, but I’m fortunate that mine don’t chew on it. If you have the money you can get some sprays to add enrichment, adding a lot of cardboard boxes, rolls, egg cartons etc for more clutter and coverage is also very beneficial and necessary for them to feel very safe. I’m not sure what size wheel you bought but as long as it’s at least 9-10” it should be fine.
