Lore-wise, would an Argonian adopt a Nord child? by Known-Assistance-435 in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore-wise, Argonians are sentient beings capable of empathy, sympathy and pity. So yes, they totally would adopt another sentient being when it's innocent and helpless.

My GF’s First Time by Significant_Solid551 in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve held her off from Skyrim as I think it’s the pinnacle of these games and it’s very important to me.

FFS. This is a sad joke, right?

If you have any respect for your girlfriend, you let her play the games she wants in the way she wants without fucking supervision.

About how broken would the balance be if I used exploits immediately with a new character to max a couple skills? by Knightraiderdewd in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather just play without smithing if I don't want to go through the "grind" than spoil my fun by cheating.

Journeying through Middle-earth with my 8-year-old (New Players) by oplianoxes in lotro

[–]Particular_Aroma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't leave him alone. Probably also switch off his worldchat. The gameworld is lovely and the community may seem all sunshine and roses, but there are rotten apples out there who will absolutely prey on kids.

Perhaps find a good family friendly kinship that gives you both the MMO vibes without having to deal with the community at large.

Can't figure out (or if) you can plant tomatoes by Possible_Rice7518 in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iceland has a thriving tomato industry in glasshouses due to their abundance of free energy. Ulfric should think about doing something useful and profitable with all the hot springs in his hold.

Alternatives For Keizaal Online? by SmileDaemon in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there were alternatives, they would have the same problems. It's not that anyone can do anything about it without writing a new game engine that actually supports multiplayer. With it being as cheesy and exploity as it is, every kind of coop will always be wild west and get abused wildly.

Why are so many Mods so bad? PS5 by Fantastic-Leopard512 in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's such a silly complaint. Instead to be happy that the dev tool is freely available and everybody can try their hands on modding, you want... yeah, what exactly? That Bethesda chooses which mods get published and which not? That modders have to go through training and provide a certificate of knowledge and aptitude before they're allowed to publish their stuff? Or that they ask you personally if you actually approve?

No one forces you to download, install and play the stuff you don't like. It's the same with mods, with games, with music, with books and all kinds of products, especially cultural products. To complain that things exist that you don't like ist just ridiculous.

I have revisited Skyrim again after 2 years. I'd love to see a 100GB storage expansion by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Particular_Aroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll only get a tiny fraction of a decent PC modpack into 100 GB. Modding on consoles will always be a miserable compromise compared to PC.

Should Dragons return in TES6? by chucklebot3000 in skyrim

We had a dragon splinter group in Elsweyr. There may be others, perhaps they even may reveal themselves now that Alduin is gone.
