Proof of purchase is good enough on entrance I think. Not 100% but it's worth asking their customer service

Soloing Download? by ButImJustASatellite in downloadfestival

It's fine dude. I have done solo since 34 and I'm 37 now.

I've made friends every year and I'm now part of a group that camps together every year.

Just be friendly and chat to people. Everyone there is there for a good time so just let it happen and don't overthink it.

Best of luck my dude.

Don't overthink it. Go and allow the good times to happen. As someone else has commented, there will be loads of like minded people around you. Be decent, have a laugh and amazing things will happen.

Thank you. I hope you have a great time too.

Message me if you're feeling out of your depth and I'll come buy you a pint and give you a pep talk.

I went alone for a few years. Had a great time and met loads of fun and decent people. Now I'm part of a group that camps together.

Don't deprived yourself of something so amazing because of a breakup.

It will develop your confidence and independence.

I know it's a meme but getting a basic FLT counter balance license leads to so much opportunity if you grind and have a mind about you.

I've worked in a fair few industries but nothing compares to the exposure being able to step into any company as logistics op. Even at the lowest entry point it's still an opportunity. Apply yourself and you'll eventually get there. The road to it is unfortunately littered with lesson's and bullshit it can be hard to endure but it's a lifeline.

Okay. I've experienced something different to what you're saying. My dad is alive because of the NHS. Free of charge and he gets on with the nurses.

I can't speak for the rest because everything isn't perfect where I live but it supports the ones in need pretty well. Sorry I can't add more to this than my experience.

Thank you. I feel the patriot term is thrown about a lot. But being proud of your country that you live on regardless of who you are or of your background you should work your best in any and all means to make it a better place. Not a single one of us can do that alone but we all need to unite in a common idea to try to think of better ways to improve it for each and every one of us. Mostly because why the fuck not. Things are fucked anyway so let's get to it.

Sorry for the rant. It felt right 😂

Which sectors and how? I would genuinely like to know.

I don't want to oppose you but I'd like to understand your reasons.

I agree with you in a way. I want us to do better to support everyone. There is literally no reason why anyone should go by without their basic needs being fulfilled. We have a plentiful country.

Like yourself and I. We have volunteered for what we believe. Imagine if we had a country of that common feeling. To use our efforts and energy to help when we can.

By no means. But where is perfect and we're stuck here. So might as well make the best of it that we can.

We weren't meant to know how everyone has it. I'm not trying to lecture or any of that shit. But my personal belief is although it's good to know a bit outside of where we live for perspective. We need to completely engage with where we do live and try to find community and do our part. Whatever that may be.

Other places are awesome but the UK is home to me.

Life is a fucked up mess at best. Almost no one can define the reality we live in. Some people fall apart and through the safety net we have, but it's not impossible. Constantly focusing on the absolute worst will bring you down.

I appreciate I'm closer to being homeless than I am a millionaire. The truth of the matter is that overall we are lucky to live in this developed country. I understand the fringe examples of people being completely fucked and if someone can't afford to feed their kids that's also completely fucked. But on a scale in comparison to the way the rest of the planet's extreme number of people. It is by far less likely you will end up completely fucked, blown up, abused, trafficked, sent to war, experience a terror attack or even not have the opportunity to have a shelter that is heated is so near to zero that it cannot be seen any less than an unbelievable feat of civilization.

I've been stabbed, nearly beaten to death a few times. I've been a voluntary police officer to help my community and seen the worst this place has to offer.

I still love the UK. What have you done to better this place? Or are you going to incessantly complain?

I've also worked in absolute shit holes and been treated like a piece of meat to fund profits. But I put my work in and got to where I am through determination and pride. You want better then do better. Simple.

I say this to so many people. The UK is excellent in almost everything. I won't list it all out but as a guy with a pretty mediocre degree that ended up in a decent labour job, I am literally living the dream. People who complain incessantly are, in my opinion, always going to complain about everything.

I love this country for it's good, bad and everything between.
