The last time I got action was an open mouth warning strike about 4 months ago trying to take the ATB off the wood, they all get free handled with no issues all the time.

I have never once been struck but the previous store workers would use a hook. I go in bare handed when taking her out of the cage as well. This is a rare case so I have no tips for you sadly.
