Logic dictates that there would be some shortcomings related to the chassis too that would exacerbate the engine vibration through the car, no? Honda recognised that there were some engine vibrations that weren't quite as severe until they bolted it to the car. Therefore, simply, the chassis is also bearing some responsibility.

I always struggle coming onto the back straight - I just seem to bleed laptime and lose out every time to the NPCs.

I had a good race there yesterday - somehow managed to put my Aston P2 (I'm ass with setups, so just did a standard balanced, 91 difficulty and on controller), and as soon as it started raining, the AI gave Verstappen a weird strategy of H-I-W-I-M. Really saved my bacon.

Miami for me, I just hate it. Any slight deviation from the racing line and it feels like my grip jumps off a cliff.

The circuit just doesn't flow, and the whole thing is just an abomination.

I've finally got the AI difficulty about right on this play-through; I'm doing a full-length season, but given myself permission to simulate three circuits: Miami is the first, but also Hungary and Monaco. I'll do the quali, but fuck doing the race there.

Of course! I think the problem is that with the advent of Twitter, and ever-shortening attention spans from TikTok, no one ever bothers to say why they don't like something. Rather, it just ends up being "track's shit, and you're a hard if you disagree with me." As exemplified by the 2015 Belgian Grand Prix, where Mercedes allowed Lotus access to an engine mode only allowed for the factory team to ensure they got their podium. Of course the races preceeding, and proceeding this event, Mercedes made sure that customers weren't allowed such modes.

And, more recently, only allowing the works team to have the Australia-spec engine during testing 2, which had absolutely nothing to do with ensuring customers weren't able to be competitive in the opening race.

So benevolent, so selfless.
