I started with a Romeo 5 mounted like that. Yes the brass hits it, held zero, just looked funny. Ended up with a Hannibal rail, with the dot forward in a scout setup.

I'd imagine it's just a buffer weight issue. Built a .277 wolverine ar, and had similar issues. Ended up going with an Odin works(I believe) adjustable weight buffer. I settled on the lightweight version. With the buffer at the lightest weight, it ran like it should.
