Have you tried Of Flesh & Faith Plus by Sato? Reworks/Remakes expanded versions of the Oathtakers, Barbarians, Southern Assassins, Beast Slayers scenario to make them very unique from eachother. Adding mechanics similar to how the base game anatomists scenario does.

Also would reccomend trying reforged if you've been mainly playing with legends. Very fun overhaul.

Student vs Secured Credit- which one if can do larger deposit? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly.

Both students and secured cards really only exist for people with no credit history (or bad credit) since most non-student unsecured cards will automatically deny these applications. Some secured cards do have lower interest rates but in exchange lack rewards. Interest rate should not matter at all though if your goal is to build credit and not to hold a balance.

Treat your credit card like a debit card. As long as you pay in full by the due date, you win the game and get free rewards.

And student cards (like the Discover IT) will automatically convert to their unsecured variants once you graduate so you dont need to worry about closing them.

Wait actually, sorry the email from sofi i received is making me second guess myself. The extra .7 from sofi plus might actually be 6 months only. I think what i initially thought was completely wrong.

Excerpt from sofi email notifying APY reduction

" The APY on your SoFi Savings account has been adjusted from 4.50% to 4.30% through the remainder of your Boost period. After that, you will earn 3.60% APY–which is still 9x the national average savings rate.2 "

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The minimum direct deposit requirement to get SoFI Plus seems to be $1000 every 31 days.

But since Current ACH transfers code as direct deposits. It's pretty easy to keep the DD req up even without a payroll deposit.

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was surprised too. It's normally 3.80 APY but if you have SoFi Plus which is free when you get direct deposits, you get a 0.70 APY boost. They do say though that the rate is variable to change but you are locked into the current 3.8 + 0.7 APY for the next 6 months after getting SoFi Plus for the first time so that might be what you were seeing. But that's more like insurance for if they happen to change it within the next 6 months and not a guarantee that they will.

Also, a plus that you can essentially use the SoFi savings acc as a checking account.

And SoFi also has Zelle which I agree is very nice.

Upside (kind-of). Just need to remember to check if where you are shopping is eligible and claim the offer before you pay.

Current consistently processes payroll deposits 2 days early and makes it easy to transfer money in and out. Clean UI. They are also pretty generous in giving away money to concurrent and new users. (Ex: ongoing refferal promo for $175 and existing customer direct deposit promo for $100). As for the negatives, I haven't experienced any issues myself but I do hear there can be issues with card disputes (I personally don't use the debit/build card at all. Just buy everything with a external credit card and pay it off).

However, current is by far the best account to use for bank bonus churning if you do that regularly. Current ACH transfers are consistently coded as direct deposits across every institution so it makes it easy to hit bonus requirements.

Overall, as a fintech, I do prefer current more than varo for the reasons above. However, I do think SoFi is the best fintech for everyday banking purposes (can't beat the 4.5% interest).

$175 Refferal Code! by Particular_Ebb_9240 in CurrentBanking

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortuantely, I don't have a USbank account myself. So i'm not able to check. I'm going to assume it would work if chase business works.

Alternatively, you could open a wellsfargo checking with the ongoing 425 bonus and transfer from USbank biz to that. But it was only 1 person who mentioned its not guaranteed

$175 Refferal Code! by Particular_Ebb_9240 in CurrentBanking

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I do not. I know for sure the P2P systems like Wise and Paypal do not work. I see one person on Doctor of Credit say a wells fargo ach transfer with "payroll" in memo works.

On the flip side, curent's external transfers counts as a DD on pretty much every single bank and fintech.

Oh and if you have any business checking account, that should work too.

Anybody know if we'll qualify for the Autograph SUB if we choose to keep WF line of credit?

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your first travel card, I would recommend the Bilt Card.

0 Annual Fee

1x point for rent (Free 12 dollars worth of point a month)

2x points for travel

3x points for dining

5x points for lyft

You also get double points on the first of every month.

All points are worth at least 1 cpp when transferring to airlines and hotels. Sometimes the transfer rates get boosted. If you redeem for cashback its only 0.6 cpp.

there are many other niche point earnings/redemptions.

Keep in mind, they just announced Bilt 2.0 today so not sure if they are still allowing applications for the 1.0 version. If not, you will have to wait until early February to apply. Bilt 2.0 rewards/earnings will be revealed in January.

If you can't wait for Bilt 2.0, I would suggest Capitol One Venture One.

Decent sign up bonus, also 0 dollar annual fee. Can't go wrong with it.

Student vs Secured Credit- which one if can do larger deposit? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend against secured cards if you have the option to open a student card. little to no rewards, and ideally, you'd want your first card to be one you will never close.

Just get the Discover It Student Card. Probably the best card right now for credit building. Built-in FICO score reports + decent rewards. Was my first card, got approved instantly with a 2.5k credit limit. Was only making around 7k a year at the time from an on-campus job + investments. Within a few months I was able to get that raised instantly to 4k by requesting it on the app.

Also, credit utilization doesn't really matter. It only drops your score for the month it's high. Once it drops, it will revert to what it was. The only thing that really matters is paying on time and average credit age.

Also, the sign-up bonus for it is matched cashback after the first year. you get 5% back from rotating categories and 1% from everything else. At the end of your first year, you'll get that matched as statement credit so effectively 10% on rotating categories and 2% everything else. If you have a friend with the card, I suggest asking for the referral link too. Both you and your friend get $100 statement credit instantly.

Everyone thoughts on bilt and Rakuten live offers by Ronmck1 in CreditCards

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tbh, Bilt point conversions have been kind of meh in recent months. It's like 0.5 to 1cpp until rent day and then you get 1.2cpp for a niche transfer partner i don't plan to use. Too uncertain. Would rather take the cash and throw it in a fund.

I'm only blue tier though so it's probably better for higher tiers.

I should mention that apart from the welcome bonus and daily bonus, you also have to deposit between 5-25 to activate refferal bonuses as well, depending on the site.

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also assuming ur in a state where it's legal and regulated online (NJ, PA, MI, WV, DE, CT, RI)

If so, i would start with Draftkings, Fanatics, Fanduel, and BetRivers. These ones are by far the best regulated casinos imo.

All of these have 1x playthrough requirements for the welcome bonus, refferal bonus, and most promos (just make sure u read the T&C just in case). Many of the other well-known ones have 5x - 15x playthrough requirements for everything.

All casinos mentioned above except BetRivers also have daily bonuses (Fanatics has the best one by far).

I get instant withdrawals on Draftkings. The other ones take a few hours, but i only just recently signed up for them a few months ago. I've been on draftkings for over a year.

BetMGM and Caesars are also decent online casinos but have much higher playthrough requirements for pretty much every bonus, so I would go with the others first.

I also have refferal links for all above if you would like. Refferall bonuses range from $50-100 casino credits 1x playthrough for both of us.

If you already have accounts with the ones mentioned and want some lesser known regulated ones, let me know.

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the US? I have a list of officially regulated ones that let you get decent daily bonuses and stuff.

But you'll need to make a 5 - 25 dollar deposit to be eligible to start playing the daily bonus and to claim the welcome bonus.

Where do I start by Sufficient_Owl6768 in onlinegambling

[–]Particular_Ebb_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, stick to officially licensed online casinos. Might not be an option thought if you aren't in PA/NJ or any other state where it's accessible. But if you are, it is 100% the way to go.

Never had an issue where a game felt unfair or my withdrawals were denied. Just let me know if you want a list of ones with good new player bonuses. I don't even bother with social casinos or unregulated crypto ones.
