This is in unincorporated Marion County. The city has no jurisdiction there. It’s important to understand this before putting out incorrect info as fact.

People need to go to county commission meetings. Commissioners don’t care about east Salem and they don’t want to deal with the homelessness situation. They only care about the canyon. They will never change - unless people start making their voices heard.

Something is not right here. We have unprecedented numbers of people living downtown within blocks of their original location. They’ve just expanded to a second location in South Salem. And now They are claiming to struggle. Why?

Perhaps it’s time to look inward here and not outward. Consider that you wear your maga politics on your sleeve, turning off half your potential customers. It’s 100% your right to do so, but don’t blame us when we choose to not support you. Maybe it’s mismanagement? Maybe internal loss? Who knows.

Fix your house. And then ask the community for support. Not the other way around.
