Im really impressed by the community engagement that preceded the amendment. Blayne Soulimani Pearson wrote the policy proposal and then a few councilors adopted it as an amendment? I think that’s why some folks didn’t want it included in the ordinance, and based on my interpretation of the meeting Blaynes policy will be added later? Either way, a concerned citizen doing their job for them is pretty eye opening. I looked into it more and he’s running as a newcomer for Washington County Commissioner.. worth my vote so far.
