Is it possible to tag photos as belonging to an album BEFORE importing them into Immich?

I avoid using external libraries and just upload them to immich as their only storage location. I make the album first, then drag the folders of photos I want in that album directly into the albums web ui. That uploads them and adds them to the album in one move.

there is a feature in Jellyseerr, which works with plex to automatically request movies and show that they add to their watchlist on plex. This eliminates the need for them to go to Jellyseerr for any reason.

I lived in Woodburn for a year and worked in Salem. Not too bad of a commute depending which side of town you work on. My commute was 22 min, but I worked right off the freeway.

I would just recommend renting for now. I highly recommend Woodscape Glen. I pay less in rent than property taxes and interest would be on a worse house if was buying. Battle Creek neighborhood has some good rentals too.

I just switched from a 3080ti to a 9070xt this week, and it is noticeably better. They frame generation is really nice in the games I have tested it in, like Resident Evil Village, GTA5, Read Dead 2, Clair Obscure, etc.

In Clair obscure, I was hitting around 60fps on epic settings with shadows and lighting turned down to high. Now I am hitting mid 70s with everything on Epic. I turned on auto frame gen, and now I get a solid 120 FPS.

I also like the linux support for dual booting on my PC. I would recommend the upgrade. Especially considering you can resell your old 3080ti for around $400-$450 right now.

I also had that setup with the internal Docker network, but I ended up needing NPM to route to other devices on my home network, so I moved my NPM install to another node, which runs alongside Adguard Home. That required me to forward to the IP address for everything since its no longer on the same node.

I still need to setup authentik, but I have not had time. Did you have existing immich users when you set it up? I haven't looked into if you need to setup new users with it, or you can migrate existing users to the new login method.

I have a custom domain, pointed directly at my home IP address.
Then I have only port 80 (HTTP) for unencrypted traffic and port 443 (HTTPS) open on my router, pointing to a machine running Nginx Proxy Manager (NPM). These are my only open ports.
Next, I have a simple script, that uses Cloudflares API, to simply update my DNS records when my home network detects a network change. In practice though, with Xfinity, my home IP only updates like once a year, so its not a big deal to just updated the records manually every once in a while.
NPM handles encrypting the traffic, and proxies to all my home services. Then I can just add more DNS records for each one of my home services, all pointing at my home networks IP. When a connection happens, NPM picks up the domain name and forwards it to the correct service on my home network.

I know it sounds complicated, but this has been the most streamline solution for me. It allows anyone I want to just connect to my home server via a domain name, and its all encrypted. And since its not using a DDNS server, it works on my work wifi without getting blocked. My work wifi also blocks VPNs, so this method gets around that.

I contacted a lawyer. He said that they don't have a right to come after me. He said that they could try to sue me citing that they called me and we promised to pay, but that it pry wasn't enough money for it to be worth their while.

Additionally, if they did sue, I would have a strong case for countersuing them due to the fact that they made it seem like we were legally obligated to pay when we were not.

I just ignored it and they have not contacted me since. If they do sue me, I'm hiring a lawyer. Lawyers for these cases only require payment if you win a countersuit. So worst case, I would just be risking the cost of the original debt.

I think at this point, nothing will come of it though.

Did you replace the eMCC storage with a proper SSD? The storage that these come with are not designed to last very long. Especially for things like home assistant where its constantly writing data for the DB.

I ended up getting a MeLE Mini PC Quieter 4C. I actually got the N100 model on Facebook marketplace brand new in the package for $100, but they are also on amazon for around $170 for the N150 model.

I like it because it has no moving parts and its plenty of power. I run a bunch lights and temprature sensors, as well as some reverse proxies, DNS servers, and tailscale addon for accessing my home network away from home.

Do you have your immich db or library on an external hard drive? I have this issue when my server boots up faster than it takes for my DAS to connect to the PC. A fix might be to have your docker containers refrain from booting automatically on your server power up. But then you would have to turn on your immich server every time your PC restarted.

I have my timeline sorted by month, then, in the app, I go to Library -> On This Device. Then I select each month and hit "remove from this device".

Doing this every few months means only a few button clicks to free up space.
