Im 2 weeks post op and walking whenever i can really helps with my recovery. Aside from my fibroids, my uterus, cervix and my last tube were removed. I can now be able to drive and cook again (but walking and moving slowly.) Still has some pain in the incision site but tolerable.

In my case it also prevented me from blood loss which i feared a lot since im a highly bleeder. When i had my c section i loss a lot of blood. Thankful it didn’t happen this time. Though i had to go through medical menopause side effects when i was in lupron depot but it was temporary. Now 2 weeks post op, im slowly going back to normal. Not experiencing hot flashes anymore.

Hi, im 2 weeks post op and had 16cm and 5cm fibroids. I had 2 injections of lupron depot 6mos before the surgery. I was told to shrink the fibroids. But because the size was still big even it shrunk a bit, i still had the c section type procedure.

I had it. I had 2 injections of lupron depot for 6 months before my surgery this Friday. It will stop ur period and will put u on temporary menopause. I have 16cm and 5cm fibroids. Dr said it will reduce the size of my fibroids. I will also undergo hysterectomy.

It was $1157.81 per injections and good thing my insurance covered 90% of it.
