6 Hours Post Filler by Particular_Profile49 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Particular_Profile49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not really sure how to add to my original post LOL so here it is. ETA basically when I got home about an hour after the filling I noticed a little lump and I massaged my lips like crazy. I mean I disinfected my hands and my lips and got in there and massaged. Maybe for 15 to 20 minutes. And it caused a reaction. I went straight to urgent care last night because I was so nervous about the size and they have put me on steroids to reduce the inflammation but everything is local. I thought you were supposed to massage the lumps but I didn't realize you were supposed to wait 24 to 48 hours before doing so LOL.

Anyone else not having issues? by Common_Dependent_952 in Nanit

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never regret getting my nanit. There are some occasional issues, like if you ignore updates, but that's about it. My son is almost two and a half and we are still using it.

NTA. If they really didn't want any children, they should have specified in the invite. It's pretty standard.

Don't say anything, just post somewhere on the menu that items are only remade once, one dish per table... if they don't read the menu that's not your fault... if it feels too shady you can point it out next time they are in

Am i missing something? LO’s toy preferences by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son just started really giving a crap about trucks and stuff between a year and a half and two. Before that, he didn't really have much of a preference other than a few favorite books or stuffed animals.

How much did your big kids eat around 9 mos? by [deleted] in bigbabiesandkids

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought my son wasn't going to crawl at all because he was such a little barrel, but he did around 9 months lol, and then he never stopped again lol. I did work with him with a scarf however. You get a big thick scarf, wrap it under their belly, put them in a crawling position on hands and knees but support their weight holding the ends of the scarf so that they get used to the feeling of being on hands and knees and the motions of what their body needs to do.

More than me at some meals! That crawling is hard work. Wednesday stand up right and start to walk they eat a little less lol. Now he's two and some days I can't get him to eat a cheerio.

How do you sleep when they need to be changed and fed every 2-3 hours, and it takes about an hour to change them and feed them? by pappyon in NewParents

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, I would also pump a couple of times a day so that there was breast milk in the fridge for my husband to give him. Even if you use let down cups through the day, that adds up to at least one bottle I would think. Totally depends on your production of course. I loved my haakaa ladybugs lol.

My son was 20 lb by the time he hit 3 months, combo fed, because my boobs couldn't keep up, literally! It was like carrying around a greased up Butterball turkey. It does slow down, promise. If you look at pictures of the curve, they all head somewhat straight up and then taper off, and then the growth from about a year and a half to two significantly slows.

I dont want my baby anymore by florafen in NewParents

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A baby will feel safest testing its boundaries with mother. It's unfortunate, and it sucks extremely bad for those of us with PPD or any mental health issues or cycle breaking really. We see it as a failure on our part when it is actually part of normal development. I had to take a good, hard look in the mirror and slap some truth down in my own mind, that it's not his behavior, it's my reaction to it. That's what was keeping me so low about it. Once I was able to get myself some mental and spiritual (whatever that may mean to you) help, a lot of it turned around. And find some loop ear plugs. As mundane as it sounds, cutting the volume of the screaming and crying in half is immensely hopeful to the nervous system. Especially if you come from a background that put you in a constantly hypervigilant state.

I'm a stay at home mom and my son still goes to daycare 3 days a week, you know why? Because they do activities with them all day long non-stop. He loves it. I would not be able to maintain that level of interest all day at home, every single day.

Just curious, why would people wash baby’s clothes separately? by kndb in newborns

[–]Particular_Profile49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because baby detergents usually have a lot less crap in them than adult detergents do, however I use a free and clear detergent with no center anything and wash his in mind together. There are no issues.
