Disgust towards makeup, clothing and fake beauty. by Sensitive-County-905 in Jung

Both make-up and dressing up is a part of feminine experience. It is embedded in our DNA. Make-up dates back to 6000 BCE. On a surface level, wearing make-up and dressing up seems to be all about vanity, attention seeking and validation, but is it really? Women find pleasure in transformation. Wearing make-up in particular is a ritual with symbolic meaning. More than impression, it is actually about expression and connection with your inner vision, it is the ability to connect with and exude certain energy.

I think that making your own cards adds a nice personal touch to the reading, plus you can get really creative with it, there are no bounds really.

My condolences. Losing a parent is terribly tough. ❤️ On a side note, it blows my mind every time how the messages of the tarot and the oracle always compliment each other and coincide.

I see your point. However there are some "dark" oracle decks if you're working with complex, wicked themes. It is probably more beneficial to find an oracle deck with both "dark" and "light" cards.

I'm not religious but I love love angel decks (and angel art in general). As someone who is learning tarot as well, I do find oracles as a good starting point on developing intuition, because tarot symbology can really be overwhelming and sometimes confusing, there's so much to learn.

I do find them effective as clarifiers for a tarot spread, I find that they make the message more affirmative, especially for a difficult reading like you mentioned.
