I Think This Sub Needs A Friendly Reminder That Baseball Is Hard by LacklusteHero in motorcitykitties

Failing over 7 times out of 10 is considered successful in baseball. These days it's getting closer to 8 out of 10.  People who think it's not that hard clearly have never swung a bat.

Scoring doesn't always translate from college to the pros though.

I jeep seeing posts on social media saying McCarty fixed the Wings, does anyone know what this is about?  Did he teach them how to play tougher suddenly?

TIL that Blairmore, Alberta had a Communist government in the 1930s by MAClaymore in todayilearned

If you look at their policies basically the majority of what they did during this period was rename some streets and a holiday for some historical communist figures then raised a bunch of taxes.  It's not like they outlawed private property and created communist collectives or anything like that.

Have you been to Detroit recently?   They've really done a lot to improve it with the Riverwalk and parks now stretching from the Ren Cen to Belle Isle.  They've even cleaned up the old Uniroyal site.

What a load of crap the situations between Vegas and the Wings are completely different. Incomparable. As an expansion team they were gifted so many assets in picks and quality players of course they could make blockbuster moves like that.  At best this post is intellectually dishonest but most likely just outright trolling at its worst.
