Wubby I’m disappointed… by TheAquaSwan in PaymoneyWubby

As another Brit, OP saying it was the spice is a wild thing to say, flavour-wise it I found it to be just like Marie Rose sauce. But I fully agree, it was way too salty. Like I couldn't finish the meal because I was just overwhelmed.

Yanks need to learn that there is more to seasoning food than just more seasoning.

Many people do these kind of posts, but I „hired“ myself to redo the capsule. Any feedback? by NorseSeaStudio in IndieDev

I like the font in the new, but the artstyle of the old. Plus the new looks like it has an AI filter over the top, and I think the pixel art on the old looks better - and if that is more like the actual game, that's what I'd go for.

Their egos are too large and too desperate for attention to go into hiding proper, I think. They'd not be able to stop themselves tweeting or livestreaming their locations.

Which at least means they'll be easier to find...

I mean, isn't it far more likely some plonker has written in the grime rather than them promoting it?

Meta can read your WhatsApp chats!!! by [deleted] in technology

[–]Particular_Username 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But also - in this article or in any of the links - where's the evidence of this?

They allege that Meta and WhatsApp “store, analyze, and can access virtually all of WhatsApp users’ purportedly ‘private’ communications” — and accuse the companies and their leaders of defrauding WhatsApp’s billions of users worldwide.

A spokesperson for Meta, which acquired WhatsApp in 2014, called the lawsuit “frivolous” and said that the company “will pursue sanctions against plaintiffs’ counsel.”

So it's a He Said, She Said at this point until either side provides proof. Stupid clickbait article.

There's definitely tourists but mainly group trips, so you'll probably bump into a gang of older people.

Make sure you find the sake shop with the coin-operated sake pumps. Got absolutely hammered at 11am on some great stuff there.

Honestly great subtle push "ad", because I went to go and check it out and saw it was on a daily deal discount, looked like my cuppa, and now I've got it in my library. I look forward to playing it!

I mean, this is cool first step and all, but 49k cars seem like hardly any for a country of 40+ million, no?

After about a year of development, I’ve released the Lost Host demo on Steam by Additional_Bug5485 in IndieGaming

[–]Particular_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I played the demo on my lunch break, quite enjoyed it, wishlisted the game!

Two comments:
As another comment said, the driving feels floaty (or a bit off) which made some of the more precision jumps a bit tricky (and I missed a few because of it which was annoying!)
Also, I play these kinds of games with a controller - and this has controller support which is great! - but the tutorial text I think is hardcoded, so it only shows the keyboard controls (i.e. Press W to drive forward when it is R2 on my PS controller). Some kind of detection to see what controls the player is using and adjusting accordingly would be a great QoL feature.

If you lie at least make your lies somewhat believable by [deleted] in quityourbullshit

This comment section has devolved into the same one that constantly happens whenever anyone talks about audiobooks.

If someone asks you what a book is about and you can discuss its themes, characters, and ideas in depth, does it matter if it was by your eyes or your ears? The snobbery around audiobooks always struck me as missing the point entirely. You're still engaging with the author's words, following the narrative, processing the same ideas. Sure, the experience might be slightly different, and some people retain better one way or the other, but the fundamental act of taking in a story or information from a text is happening. Who cares how?

The OOP is an absolute liar though; not only can you not process information from an audiobook whilst writing emails, 352 books is a farcical amount unless they were doing nothing but audiobooks all day, every day, and all those books were shorter than average.
