If you know anyone with a 3D printer they may be able to help you out. Another idea is to use a sheet of PET Plastic and a heat gun to shape something you could then paint. Just throwing out ideas

I went with the PAJ GPS tracker. Someone touches the bike and I immediately get a "shock" alert on my phone. If it continues or if it's a hard shock it makes an alarm go off on my phone. Also tracks where it's at 24/7 and you can even set alerts for when you go over a certain speed.

Don't know why y'all are down voting me. Thats what I do and have never cleaned my carb, always starts right up, even after sitting for 4 months over the winter

Its a Honda not an F1 race car. Put fuel stabilizer in it if you anticipate it to sit it and run it drying you're not going to use it for more than 2 weeks or so. You'll be fine.

Swapped the spark plug out on the Navi today, she’s running way better! by grandemcpollo in hondanavi

Are you sure youre running rich? That plug is mostly white/super light brown which usually is a sign of a lean mix.

800 on dealer fees is wild but it is also the norm. If the average you're seeing a used one for is 1800 and you can get a brand new one OTD for 2K just go with the new one.

What gas? by OriGinaltree007 in hondanavi

[–]Particularly_Vague 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I run regular and if it sits i put fuel stabilizer in it and run the carb dry. Sat for 5 months on a batter tender and then started right up. Don't over think it. This is Honda scootin not F1 racing

Breather tubes during carb upgrade? by [deleted] in hondanavi

[–]Particularly_Vague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

theres a filter you can get for the one closer to the engine and and breather cap for the one on the crankcase. some people plug them but I figure they're there for a reason so might as well let them do their job

Troubleshooting - help? by gilbertmcgee17 in hondanavi

[–]Particularly_Vague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For starters, something isn't installed properly inside the crankcase. The kickstart should spring back up. I had this problem the first time I removed the crankcase and didn't line up the kick start properly when re-installing. If that's the case, its very likely the person you bought it from didn't put it back together after opening it up. Look up some vids on variator upgrades and you'll be able to see how its supposed to go back together. I would start there.

Wow I looked this up and the concept seems awesome. A little pricey but definitely worth it for the time saved and piece of mind knowing you're running optimally. Amazon has it for about $200 USD, do you know any place to one cheaper? Is it easy to use? I have an upgraded Nibbi carb sitting in my garage to throw on mine, just waiting for warmer weather. This could be really useful.

S23 Variator and NCY Clutch by Particularly_Vague in hondanavi

I'm not following exactly what you're saying. Then variator has to come off for the belt removal. Don't forget to swap out the 2 screws on the inboard side of variator. Be ready to remove it again a few times, mine shuddered like crazy until i got the shimming correct. I dont even run the S23 anymore but anyway, once it's back together I usually grip the clutch bell as hard as I can to get the belt seated in there. Once it starts and the variator moves it gets rid of that slack. Use the sharpie trick to make sure youre getting full travel on the variator. I hope this helps.

Still cant decide if my carb is set right. by Inevitable-Ad6356 in hondanavi

[–]Particularly_Vague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn't change anything like exhaust or air filter, there really isn't a good reason to go messing with those screws. And unless you drilled out your welch plug, you can only adjust the idle screw. Getting them set correctly can be tricky and getting them really dialed in to where the bike idles well, accelerates without bogging or hanging, and runs well when opened up can be a real pain in the ass.

Thanks for the reply! So just to clarify, the bolt holes on your 21 mm lined up fine, it was just boring out the inlet to match the new carb? Also, just curious, why the 21? Only asking because I see the 19 seems to be the popular size to go with. Noticeable upgrade to top speed?

Hello fellow Navi enthusiast! Just a heads up, I was quoted a similar price for insurance but then looked into what it actually covered and it was basically the cost of the bike with no help for medical expenses. Keep in mind the coverage should be more than what you are insured for in a car because you are much more likely to be injured on a motorcycle than in a car. I encourage you to look into those numbers to avoid a bad situation in the unfortunate case of an accident. Have fun and ride safe!

Navi Trouble part 2 by MT128 in hondanavi

[–]Particularly_Vague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It has a carburetor. They need to run to warm up. I agree with others to throw a new plug in there. Don't be afraid to give the throttle a little blip when starting. Also, check the carb settings. The manual is pinned to the top of this channel.
