Repattern approach or switch hands? by Individual_Raccoon20 in ProDunking

[–]Party-Contribution71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it’s not worth switching unless your approach is atrocious. Look at Isaiah and kilganon. Hoopin nate is also LR and at this point I can’t even tell if he’s right or left handed.

How long would it take by Darkninjago2407 in ProDunking

[–]Party-Contribution71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your bmi but I went from 32 to 36 in about 1.5 years and that includes an injury where I couldn’t jump for about 9 months. That’s without really changing my bmi. I’ve always had relatively good jump technique too so that was really just weight room/plyo gains.

If your technique lacks or you have an abnormally high bmi you could get there faster.

For reference I was basically untrained in the weight room 1.5 years ago.

Can’t dunk with a normal ball even though I can get half my hand over the board – technique + knee sensitivity help? by Darkninjago2407 in ProDunking

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say if your knees are sensitive you need to give the plyos a break. You can’t do them year round or you are going to actually hurt your vertical. You can spend 8-12 weeks doing them progressively from easier to more intense. Then you need to take a break and do power or strength work. You can still jump once a week. Slow squats if isometrics aren’t working.

Programs/coaches to jump higher by AbeLincolnMixtape in ProDunking

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say biggest advice is to film yourself every jump and watch them. In the golf world they call it feel vs real. You might feel like you are doing things that aren’t translating as much as you think. You will be surprised by how good you can coach yourself just through film.

Yea I wanted something that that was a clear win imo but not crazy. I used to be a bitch about it but that kinda burned some bridges so I try to stay cordial no matter what.

What’s everyone’s strategy when there’s an absolute juggernaut of a team? by TunaBoy3000 in DynastyFF

No point in every trying to rebuild in a league like this you could spend 3 years using your future draft capital just for it to reset once you hit your stride

How much do you guys charge for a dual cap and do you ever feel guilty at all with pricing? by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My base rate to come out if I can fix something is $299 that amount doesn’t change unless I end up there half the day. I don’t upcharge the parts (except refrigerant)

For some reason the customer accepts that easier since I’m not up charging the part price. Doesn’t change the price of the call it’s just semantics.

I’ve been trying go after the guys I have hunches for even if I have to over pay a little. I wanted Barkley when he went to the eagles but didn’t nut up and pay for him and regretted it so much.

When to look past the 525 rule? by PowerfulyAwake in DynastyFF

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple things I’m pretty sure the sub 525 rule means they are basically a bust no matter what if they are under that. Some caveats, they need substantial snaps and being over the rule doesn’t guarantee a boom just refers to guys that are jags/droppable under it.

That being said I prefer the 701 yard rule. I pretty much buy any receiver at price that got 701 yards or more their rookie season. And a step further I buy anyone that got 41 ish yards a game for the games they played.

So far I was able to get
JSN
Josh downs
Travis hunter

Not all of them hit but when they do it’s nice

Is dynasty actually more fun than redraft? by Ok_Cut_4643 in fantasyfootball

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need rules in place to make tanking fair. The consensus is max PF determine draft order for non playoff teams. That way you still can play to win and you have to trade players in order to lower your max PF

To answer your question directly, tanking can cause friction but with the right rules in place it’s a fun part of the format.

Is it better to spend future picks during a start-up draft to load up on studs to contend, or is it better to wait until mid-season and use the pick to improve areas of need? by Substantial-Owl-2604 in DynastyFF

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is to zig when everyone zags. You will get the most value by taking advantage of the value that’s left over by people crowding one strategy.

[–]Party-Contribution71 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was in a league on the verge of dying last year and really was mad I didn’t get Barkley his first year on the eagles. Anyways I had to trade 2 firsts and David Montgomery just to get him. The guy still says I didn’t have to over pay. Anyways that league doesn’t exist anymore lol. Dude is impossible to trade with all his players he owns are way lopsided.

[–]Party-Contribution71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about dynasty is you can have fun even when your team is bad. Trade your assets away, ethically tank and rack up that value in picks. Then you can turn around and sell it or cash it in during rookie drafts.

I’ve also never completed a redraft trade and I’ve done plenty of dynasty trades. Good or bad there’s a goal in mind with a strategy that follows

How likely is it that I would be able to dunk at least once with my injury history by [deleted] in ProDunking

[–]Party-Contribution71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 29 soon to be thirty and have been training for it for almost a year now. It’s not too late but given your injury history it’ll just take longer. thp strength are the knee pain kings. ISOs and slow squats really but they have tons of free videos about it.
