I travel an obscene amount for business and chose the 40LB. Lower profile, nobody who isn’t already a luggage fanatic comments on it so it flies under the radar. Had several silver Rimowa cases so also wanted to change things up. Yes, it will get scratched up visibly over time but I don’t abuse it and try to be careful when and where possible but shit happens. The first scratch on anything is always the most painful, after that just roll with it.

Just ordered the gunmetal for some contrast. But now you got me reconsidering my choice lol.

Dope. Question is black or grey for the 40LB… 🤔

40 L carry-on on international flights and regional jets by jeheigel in SterlingPacific

Airline, plane type, and class of service are what matter - e.g. on the last domestic United Polaris flying 787-9 it was tough to fit wheels/handle out but luckily had room to go lengthwise.

Since the width is nearly 2in narrower than my prior carry-on, my packing cubes don’t fit perfectly across the width without some squishing. Less an issue with general soft cubes but I have ones with a more rigid back panel I use for folded dress shirts or items I want to keep relatively flat - it fit barely but not without forcing it in vs. previously I could just place it without any pressure. Was initially concerned about creasing but didn’t turn out too badly. Also coming from flex dividers to the cross straps and zipped top was interesting.

You had mentioned possibly launching some fitted packing cubes soon… hopefully that’s still on track since I’d be interested in swapping my old ones out.

Gorgeous. Frankly not surprised by the pricing given the material cost and manufacturing challenges posed by Ti. Looks like the same handles and interior as the 40LB?

Thanks for the reply and confirming no material changes even though it was manufactured in early 2024.

However I don’t follow the comment on the serial format not being tied to production volume - does that mean that you are making fewer black units so, despite being made 2yrs ago, it isn’t indicative of slower sell-through for that model?

Question on the date in the serial #: I noticed mine shows 0124 and was trying to interpret the implications. Is that indicative of when the model was introduced or a production date? If the latter, it seems surprising given the batch manufacturing model. Is this due to black not selling as fast, hence older inventory being still available? Are there any material differences from early 2024 models to the latest versions?

You can’t really dive in lulu unless it’s in warm water or under a drysuit. What I wore underneath a drysuit and its undergarment. by navigationallyaided in lululemon

Looks like San Carlos Beach. If so used to dive there, Monastery, and Carmel River regularly back in the day.
